Read all the reviews for lots of hot irons. This works well it gets my hair straight faster than the ceramic one I have. It does not make my hair shinier than the ceramic one. It has settings to control the amount of heat. My hair is fine so I want it hot but not something that will burn. It has a setting that works.

It's like this and the expensive blue one are from two different brands. I really assumed this flat iron was as good as the $180 version by the same brand... wrong. Its so cheap. The heat setting seem off, there's no reason I had to turn the heat to the maximum to strengthen a STRAIGHT wig. I then tried it on a piece of my hair, just to compare... literally would have to do 6-7 passes on MAX heat to get to straight (I stopped after 3 long slow passes, that should have done the job). I'm not sure if it's the fact it's cheaper than their expensive version, or that I just git a bad one, but the temperatures not being accurate is dangerous. Really wanted to like product, it feels just like my $17 flat iron, if not worse. Either buy a different brand, or try the blue expensive one, I liked that one from my experience with it, but you can't cut corners with this brand I see.

I love the performance of this straightening iron. It heats up very quickly and is very light weight. I like that the plates are thin, making the tool very manageable and prevents burning my head or ears. I am always careful to use a hairdressers oil or a heat protector, and I rarely need to pass over a section of hair more than once, which help to prevent damage. I did a lot of research on flat irons and had no idea if I wanted titanium, ceramic, etc. I used this flat iron at a friend's house, but it had a digital control. I did think I'd be receiving that model. The only negatives that I can say about this flat iron are that the dial makes it difficult to tell what temperature your heat is set to. It doesn't read like a normal temp dial. You're not able to tell if your temp is at 230 or 330 for example. The other negative is that there wasn't an option to register my product. I generally try to do that with expensive electronics and tools in case of recalls and product defects. I won't lie, this left me questioning authenticity a bit based on some other reviews, but so far, so good. You can be sure that I'll be back if anything changes - my money is too precious to waste on fakes. To sum it up, I recommend the flat iron if you're looking for an iron that works on hair that other irons have failed.
