> DOES THE JOB
DESCRIPTION> Case fits Canon G7X perfectly. Looks good. Provides good protection -- especially against accidentally dropping the camera.> Your camera attaches to the bottom half of the case with a screw which screws into the tripod socket in the bottom of the camera. The screw is also has 1/4" x 20 threads, and so you can attach your camera to a monopod, or tripod, etc. without taking the camera out of the case.> The top half of the case attaches via snaps. You can take the top half completely off if you wish (and stash it in a large pocket, etc.), or you can let the top half dangle from the bottom snap.> Does not interfere with the mobility of the viewscreen.> Includes a neckstrap, which you can attach, or not -- whatever you prefer.CAUTION> It is easy to install the neckstrap incorrectly, which could result in your camera coming loose from the strap and falling. The black ends of the strap must pass back through the plastic buckle -- under, over, and under (you'll know what that means when you look at the buckle).> Click on “Stoney” just below the product title to see my other reviews. Quality case for the price and fits perfectly for Canon G7X with handheld tripod
I used this case for my Canon G7X Mark II and it fit perfectly. The case itself is nice quality and does a good job at protecting the camera. The main reason that I purchased this particular case was for on-the-go vlogging for the G7X attached to a handheld tripod. I wanted something that could protect the case while still attached to the tripod because I didn't want to keep removing the tripod to store the camera in a case. This case fulfilled that need because the bottom half of the case features a screw which goes into the camera and allows for tripods to be attached. The only problem that I had was that this screw at the bottom of the case became stuck to my tripod, requiring pliers to remove. Eventually this screw just fell out of the case completely, however the case is still very useable, and I find that I actually prefer it like this as the screw is easier to remove when separate from the case.

Nice case/Bad case
I have mixed feelings on this case. The GOOD: the bottom part that attaches to the camera body fits perfectly, is safely attached by a hefty screw, keeps important camera controls easily available, looks very durable and classy. The BAD: the strap is a big fail! Not only is there no instruction on how to attach it, but if you do figure that out (and some other reviewers have given advice on that), you still have the problem of it not being the securest strap around once it IS attached. I find that the strap is quite adept at loosening at the attachment areas. The strap also isn't long enough to go cross-body if you wish to do that instead of just hanging from your neck. I ended up buying a separate strap that attaches to the case body at its side rings with sturdy clips, as I am not going to trust the well-being of my camera to a possibility of the strap detaching on its own. My advice to this company would be this: get a better strap design and charge a few dollars more & your customers will be a lot happier with their purchases!

The buttons and clasps look and function perfectly Cons I am concerned with how long it will actually last I like it so much that I want to be sure ...
Wow just Wow! I am not sure how well this will hold up but it seems so well made that I could not see it failing quickly. I assure you I have owned $80 to $90 covers that do not make me as warm and fuzzy as this one does! I have said it before and will say it again we need feel-o-vision so I can show you just how rich this thing feels. I am proud to have it on my $700 Cannon It represents this camera very well.ProsSmooth vintage look and feelEase of installation and useIt is functional! Is that not of the most importance!!Dat Brass Doh.. The buttons and clasps look and function perfectlyConsI am concerned with how long it will actually last I like it so much that I want to be sure it last a long time! I am very sure it will well serve its cost.

Seems like a decent product, but then this...
Just received our case today. Looks good, fits well and seems to be good quality. However, when I tested out attaching it to a tripod I found a big issue. Things seemed fine until I removed the tripod and attempted to unscrew the base of this case from the camera. (In order to see how easy/hard it will be to remove the case to change a battery or SD card..) I found the case screw attached to the camera impossible to loosen with my hands. (I even tried using a jar gripper to see if that would help.) I ended up having to use a wrench to loosen it. I tried things again by not tightening the screw so much. But that didn't work either as when you are attaching a tripod to the camera base, it continues to tighten the screw as well. This is going to be a big issue when traveling. I don't normally bring a wrench or tools alike on vacation. Has anyone else had this problem?

Loved this case, however it DOES NOT have a door to remove the battery.
Eventhogh I returned this case, I still gave the review 5 starts. The quality was great, it looked just like the picture and was well-made for the price. I returned it because It was a hassle to unscrew the bottom to get to the battery weekly to charge it. If you are someone who uses your camera a few times a year, you wont have any issues with this, however I am a mom to toddlers. I ended up getting the same exact case on here, but the bottom has a little door that pops open for me to get to the battery without unscrewing the lower half of the case.Hopefully this helps..

Really nice case!!! 100% recommended
The product pictures looked great and it arrived looking exactly like the pictures! :P Here's my breakdown of why I gave it 5 stars:--Quality is REALLY GOOD for an $18 product!--Fit is PERFECT for the Canon G7 X Mark II--Strap feels solid--Accessibility to camera while case is on is a great plusThe only small minor thing is that there are no instructions for the strap. I know most people can probably figure it out but it would save a lot of time if there were some clear instructions on how to safely secure the strap. Besides that, this is an amazing case for all Canon G7 X Mark II users!

Nice case
Good case and provides good protection. However you need to take off the bottom piece as well to be able to access the battery so kind of gets annoying. Other than that I think the leather is nice and keeps my camera safe.
