Ocean Reef 180pcs Building Set, STEM Toy for Kids Age 3, 4, 5, 6, Interlocking Toy Building Block

I thought this would be perfect for our ocean unit but I was originally a little put off by the price plus shipping. I decided to try it and if it wasn't AMAZING, I would return it. Well, it is AMAZING! It's perfect. There are a lot of different pieces so you can get really creative. 10/10 would recommend.

My niece is 2.5 and I knew I wanted something engaging, easy to clean up, and not full of inane music or lights (or other battery-operated bs) to have for her and eventually her baby brother to play with at my home - and this building toy hits all the marks!The actual concept is very straight forward - vertical stacking colorful pieces. There are endless opportunities for interacting, we talked about colors, shapes, heights, the way the base snaps together can be circular or more straight, etc. The sea animals are adorable as well, and we used them to practice animal names and sounds in English and Spanish. She thought it was hilarious that the pulpo (octopus) kept falling over when she kept putting it on heavy-handed! I was nervous she might break something, but all of the pieces held up as you would expect.My 12 year-old daughter (and even myself, really!) also enjoyed the toy, it's very reminiscent of popular brick-building toys, and has many opportunities for play. I wouldn't order it for older kids, but if you've got a 2-5 year old it seems like the perfect toy to "grow" with them. The best part - there are TONS of pieces to choose from! When my nephew is old enough to join in the fun, I don't foresee any issues sharing this fantastic toy between two kiddos. I'm also grateful for the drawstring bag (not pictured) that it can all stow away in, making this the perfect "auntie's house" toy to look forward to!

I bought this for my niece and nephew who are obsessed with the ocean and sea animals, they love playing with building blocks and stacking toys so this is just perfect for them! They started asking questions about reefs and we talked about the whales and turtles. The bag is so nice for easy cleanup and the kids can take their toys with them to grandma's house too. I'm sure they will be playing with their reef for a long time to come. It's a great toy for individual and group play with plenty of educational opportunities, and it kept my niece and nephew occupied for hours.

Loved the toy ! There was a lot of beautiful colorful pieces. The kids loved it and had a great time !It was fun and educational at the same time, would recommend it to other parents !

Recently bought several kits for my STEM classroom, and used with the early primary grades. Great for working in groups, easy clean up, and maintained attention. Highly recommended.
