Dot Ceiling and Wall Mount for Dot Black - Made in USA! Works with 1st and 2nd Generation Dot

I was really hopeful to have something that looked professional and helped get my new dot off the counter and providing a better sound reception and distribution. This does neither well, and looks crappy.My first complaint is that the notch is on the wrong side for dot.v2 - which leaves the dot upside down if installed the way this product intends. Not a huge detraction, but worth noting.More importantly, the cutout for the cord isn't deep enough and causes the dot to protrude at an odd angle when installed. It simply can't be deep enough with the way the product is designed.Also, it would be nice if there were a way to store excess cord behind the unit - again, not deep enough to wrap a couple lengths of cord the way it's designed.I tried to rig this to work the way it should - to sit flat and not have cord dangling out, by cutting a notch with an angle grinder on the opposite side and cutting space to wrap the cord, but I'm again faced with a plug that won't allow the product with attached dot to sit flush against the wall - making the whole thing look unprofessional and like a diy'er designed it from some spare junk in his garage. I'm out $20 on that piece of junk now, don't wind up in the same boat. I just wish I could get a refund for providing this company with input to improve their product. :(

Product is exactly what it sounds like. Color is good for blending with the Echo Dot. I had a hard time choosing between this one and the white one because I have white ceilings, but I think either would be a good choice. Installation was very easy and took no longer than 5 minutes. If you are going to install on your ceiling, I recommend a long USB cord. Product fits pretty snug as I had to push kind of hard to get it into the mount the first time, but I've had no problems with movement since.

Very functional when used on the wall above bed. The notch for power cord needs to be situated to allow for manipulation of the unit so that it can be mounted on the wall in a vertical position and the controls can be viewed right side up.

I really like this on my kitchen wall. I like the idea of mounting it on a wall. However because it's against the wall, the voices sound kind of deep. Doesn't play as loud as the Echo. I'm waiting for an app that would be able to connect to each other like a speaker. I was told they're are working on this.

Purchased this to use in the 2nd generation echo dot. For all who are wondering, it fits FINE! I did have to cut another notch in it for my 3.5 mm audio cable to go out to my sound bar. Very ease fix.

Glad I only bought one. Poor finish. Not enough clearance for the power plug and cord. Muffles the sound of the Dot. Overall a very poor design and product. Why can't Amazon design and offer a mount for their Echo devices that are functional, attractive, and at a low cost?

Simple mounting for dot..Wish the two mounting screws were black and not silver.

It works, but it's just a piece of plastic. There's no reason this should cost so much.
