PureComfort - Adjustable Leg, Knee, Ankle Support and Elevation Pillow | Surgery | Injury | Rest | (Standard)

My husband recently broke his leg, and apart of the obvious, the most difficult thing was keeping his leg in one place during the night. He would move it and wake up screaming in pain. I knew that somehow i had to keep his leg still and raised (to aid healing). this pillow has made it possible. Its sturdy whilst being soft and comfortable, it holds the leg in position all night. When you receive the pillow is very compressed and takes a while to take its shape, i didn't realise this, so be patient. I contacted the company on the email address provided with the pillow to ask about this and their reply was prompt and informative. So i can not only recommend the pillow but their customer service as well. The only negative is that there are no instructions with it, as there are two extra pieces that can be inserted inside the cover to increase the height/angle but after the pillow inflates it does become obvious. i believe that they maybe considering putting instructions in with the pillow but as i said before once its inflated its all quite obvious. I cannot recommend this pillow highly enough.

A week after a total knee replacement and this pillow has made an incredible difference. After doing physio and short walks my leg swells to about 3 times its usual size and I was struggling to elevate it straight. With the pillow I can adjust it to the perfect height and get my leg in the right position. It is very sturdy and comfortable plus I don't have to try and balance several unsteady pillows. I can place my ice packs perfectly too. Wonderful product.

Having recently dislocated and fractured my ankle, I have spent many weeks with my leg upright. Whilst in the hospital, I had to use a metal contraption that was vey uncomfortable. After 13 days, I was glad to be released.At home, initially I used a stack of pillows, but they moved and weren’t comfortable. I looked online and saw the PureComfort pillow, ordered it and it arrived the next day.I was surprised at how small the box was, however, the pillow is vacuum packed. Once opened, it slowly finds it shape. It took a couple of hours for mine to achieve full shape and profile.The insert said to look online for instructions, however, I could not find the video for this product.In use, the pillow is very comfortable and provides excellent support. It is very long for my leg, yet I was able to rest my foot off the end to reduce risk of sores. However, for short people, I would suggest going for a smaller size. The thin end of the pillow sits just under my bum allowing the whole leg to be supported.I have been using the pillow for 3 weeks now and it is still holding its shape, still firm and still allows me sleep thorough without my leg slipping off.I like that the cover can be removed for washing and the support it provides. I feel that using the PureComfort pillow has really helped my recovery.

Sleeping after my operation and reducing the swelling was a real challenge for about 6 weeks. I'm not a back sleeper normally and this helps to elevate your leg which helps with the swelling and stops you turning on your side which leads to pain. The fabric covered memory foam inserts are very good and allow your leg to sit comfortably onto the slope and platform . I found it better with this device to pull back the duvet so my foot was not covered which worked for me. Wish I had bought it before I came home, the first two days were dreadful, thank goodness for next day Amazon Prime. My sister has it now following her second knee replacement and has nothing but praise.

I unfortunately fractured by distal fibula with a talar shift and required ORIF surgery with plates and screws. This then required 6 weeks of non-weight bearing to help the surgery heal. Post-op in the orthopaedic ward they used pillows to elevate the leg which wasn't the most elegant of solutions.At home for the first night I also tried using pillows however the problem with that is pillows move around and slide allover the place, especially with the movement of a heavy cast. I really struggled to sleep first night or two.My wife looked online for something more appropriate and quick to deliver and came across this support. First night using it I slept through! Leg is still in surgical discomfort but at least it is supported and doesn't roll which wasn't the case with normal pillows. I have another 5 weeks like this and I'm glad she bought it. You can adjust it somewhat and make it comfortable by bringing it closer to to further etc as sometimes you just want to change positions due to your back. The ridge is nice to rest the side of the foot on as well. Great purchase
