This book has inspired our child so much that I heard they: 1- read it aloud to their toys (can’t read so memorized it)2-translate it to a relative on the phoneIf you care about authenticity, diversity, and empathy, then you NEED to buy your kid this book!

My 8 year daughter liked the book because “it learnt her things”

It is a very nice story but it said it was for the age 9 year olds but it’s more for really young children just learning to read. for a competent 8 year old reader It took just 10 mins to complete unfortunately

I love this book. My daughter is only 1 but I had to get it it’s so beautiful. I think every Muslim household should have one of these!

I loved the story and how it explained Hijab worn by young Muslim girls. It should be a must reading in classrooms of all ages. Stories like these make a better world when we understand at an early age what it means to wear a hijab. It’s difficult enough for children growing up and feeling different from others. This story helps breach a gap and will instill tolerance towards others who are active practicing Muslims..I’m a retired teacher and a non Muslim.

We are a family of no faith but our son is obsessed with learning about different religions and cultures. This book is beautifully written with love and pride and made my son fall in love with the love in the family and just how special it is. I found myself reading the back pages and having to hold back tears. It really is beautiful. My recommendation. Pop it on the shelf long before it’s time to read. We have so many bill shelves and we then have a ledge by our child’s bed. This has been a firm fixture for months now. Never underestimate just how special these books are to children and how much they help see the world with so much more love and warmth.

I love everything about this book, my daughter is 7 and I wanted her to understand the hijab/headscarf, she is so young and open minded ... she loves to learn about her religion and culture ( I’m not that educated in my religion and culture so it brilliant for us both) but we make sure she learns through books and this book is so beautifully written which young children can relate to, what is it like being different, how people react to you and more importantly to stand up for what you believe.., lovely book
