Quattro Chocolate Love Lactose-Free Protein Powder for Men & Women (2 lbs.)

Unfortunately, I always knew this day would come. From the first time I tried this protein powder I was absolutely in love. The flavor, the price, and especially the quality.I recently noticed that they switched the name of the protein (from “Chocolate Love to “Shake Series Chocolate”) and the lid from white to gold.Today I just tried the new version and it was horrendous. A complete 180 from the other. The flavor tastes like heavy artificials and there is a grainy texture that will not go away no matter how much you shake it. I was told there was only one protein that was changed due to costs. But having been on this for years, I can assure you it is far more than that.I will be in search of a new powder as I wait for (hopefully) the day that they go back to something closer to the original.

Magnum quickly became my favorite protein isolate when a fitness trainer recommended it, and after he had conducted a long study of different brands, hiring a private laboratory in Omaha to test samples of various brands, which reported that Magnum was the only whey protein isolate it had tested and that contained solely a highest-quality,100% whey protein isolate, plus the other ingredients as listed, and did not contain natural and unnatural fillers or other ingredients that were potentially detrimental. Many tested brands included carcasses of crickets, wasps and other bugs, even sawdust, to fill the container, without disclosing the same on the label or the "nature" of the non-whey ingredients. Magnum is certified by Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices, which is the only government certification agency in North America testing supplements and is, I am told, Canada's version of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA does not test or certify supplements. Magnum is a bit more expensive than the popular whey proteins sold by others; though the testing proves that in the unregulated world of supplements one often gets "more" than intended. I will not trust another brand. Magnum does a remarkably good job in exercise recovery and muscle development, as far as I can tell. I now steer away from Muscle Milk, Gold Standard, and GNC. They may be free of fillers, but I know of only one brand that is proved to be free of fillers. As a customer of Magnum since early 2017, I have my needs for whey protein isolate covered by the smoothest, easily mixed, finest-tasting, reasonably priced, and best whey protein isolate on the market (IMO). Subscribe & Save at this time (2018) only sells vanilla at a discount.

I am 50 yrs old and I have been using Magnum Quattro since it first came out. I love bodybuilding and needed a complete protein like Magnum Quattro. I have used many proteins in the past but for me Magnum Quattro is the best suited for me. I work out 2-3 hours a day 5 times a week like an animal. Because Magnum Quattro is made up with combination of high quality proteins that release into your system at different times throughout the day I am able to fully recover from my intense workout and go just as hard the following day. Let me explain. The WHEY protein gives you the quick absorption you criticality need following your workout, the CASEIN and MILK proteins act as time released proteins that help the muscles REPAIR as they are RECOVERING throughout the day.Most protein just offer the quick absorption and stop working shortly after your digest it. When you have 3 proteins that are time released and constantly feeding your muscles all day long which in turn gives your better recovery time so you can go just as hard in your workout as you did the day before as it helps aid in the soreness because your muscles are being properly nourished!Most importantly it DOES NOT contain soy as an ingredient!

Wow first time I have tried this product its not fair to say it taste good no words can Express the greatest taste of protien shake. I follow some one on Instagram who takes this and she makes shakes, pancakes and banana cupcakes using Quattro protein so I tried them all she gives out the recipe on YouTube and Instagram I have tasted hundreds of the different ones and I will be looking no more it's not plant for those who need to. I ordered one recieved it last weekend and ordered another one last night .Amazon sells a 4 lbs size but you know wasn't sure if I liked it . Vanilla ice cream flavor is the only one I've tried I might try chocolate or other flavors but for now Vanilla ice cream it is .price of $38.00 for 2lbs is good cause I spent 37.00 1 lb of Vegan plant base and didn't like its sitting on my shelve I put it to the side

This is a delicious treat that I get to have every day! I love that it's 30 grams of protein and almost no carbs... and it TASTES GOOD!!!! What???? This has a great flavor with no after-taste, that many others have. I love it so much. I've tried several flavors but the vanilla ice cream is my favorite. It's delicious as-is, and can be switched up with other flavors as well.

I am super happy with this product! I was looking for a high-quality protein powder without a bunch of 'gunk' ingredients added to it, plus I've been jonesing for the taste of Froot Loops and this tastes exactly like Froot Loop milk, even when just mixed with water. HOWEVER, the tub suggests mixing it with only 6 ounces of water. The scoop is huge so I already anticipated that it would be thick and pasty, which it was. It was far too sweet. Tonight I upped the water to around 8-9 ounces and now it tastes perfect. So the only thing I would recommend is to up the water some, plus it adds volume to the meal. I feel that the price is a little high, but then again I'm on a budget so that's my own personal perspective. Either way, I would buy it again just for taste alone. I have not noticed any bloating or indigestion from this powder and even dropped almost two pounds overnight.

Buying this for the first time cos the brand I used to take was out of order, and I got the chocolate flavour. It tastes great but I don’t find it too easy to blend compare to some other brands. One thing I don’t like about is that it takes a lot of liquid (12-16oz) to blend with the recommended serving (1 scoop = 38g), yet the texture is still way too thick to my liking, I am already full after drinking it and I don’t intend to take this as a meal replacement, where as compare to some other competitive brands only needs 5oz of liquid and 30g of powder, yield similar amount of protein. I am yet to see how the result would be different compare to my go-to brand. All in all I think this is a good protein powder and I might try the cinnamon flavour next time or I might choose to go back to my usual brand if that’s available at the time when I need to order again.

Protein is great overall, just be aware the service size of one scoop is 40g but the scooper is 50g. Problem solved by using an old scooper but just be aware if you are tracking your macros!

The taste is fine, a little artificial but it doesn’t mix at all. Doesn’t seem to matter if I use water or milk, less powder, more liquid, thoroughly try to mix it… it just stays clumpy. Only really works well in a blended drink. Bought this over 6 months ago and I’m struggling to continue using it since it’s so disappointing. Will not buy again.

This product was terrific and I'm not sure what happend. A year or so ago I would be giving 5 stars for this product but as the other reviews also mention something has changed in the formula and it just tastes cheaper and sweater. So unfortunately until I find a replacement this is still my protein but it's days are numbered for getting my doller.
