UPDATE: bumping this up to 5 stars, previously 4. I hadn’t considered the size is perfect for my daughter. She’s a small not-quite-2-year-old, and this baby is the perfect size and weight to carry around and still have space in her arms/hands for a baby bottle or other accessories. She really is attached to this baby above some of her others. It’s just the right size for pretend care. Paired with a “magic” bottle, it’s a hit!I understand some reviewers are bothered by the size. However, it’s in line with the pricing of other dolls from this company in other sizes. American Girl has a “Caring for Baby” set that is this same size and is a lot more (although it comes with other pieces). Based on what’s on the market, it seems reasonably priced; it is not a bargain-bin brand, though.I was hesitant to purchase from this brand given they’re known for having vanilla-scented vinyl. I’m sensitive to smells and get migraines easily. This version of vanilla smells kind of like powdered french vanilla pudding mix. It’s not really subtle, but it’s a softer smell, not too pungent or aggressive, and it doesn’t bother me at all.There’s nothing really remarkable about this baby. It’s basically naked, although useable as-is, and doesn’t come in good-for-gifting packaging (just a plastic bag for sanitation). But possibly due to the American Girl 8” baby doll, it’s easy to find appropriately sized clothes in the US.
