Amazing sound and workmanship
This bowl is exquisite. I've never had one before, so didn't know exactly what my expectations should be - but this thing blew me away! I didn't have much luck with it while it's sitting on a table, but when I'm holding the bowl the sound doesn't stop until I do. I thought the sound would slowly fade, but it keeps going. I was actually surprised at how loud I could make it. It also makes a little chirp or chatter sound every once in a while - not sure if it's from being handmade or because of the way I hold the stick. Not that it bothers me, at all. It gives it more character. It's one of the best purchases I've made on Amazon. I would definitely buy again.

Horrible Waste
I saw this and thought it’s tiny size would be really cute in a gift basket. NO way can you gift this to anyone. The craftsmanship if you want to call it that is horrible. Where do I start? First, the bowl has a dent. Seriously, how does anyone think it’s ok to sell junk like this?? Second, it’s not evenly round. The thickness of the bowl is uneven. The metal is thinner on one side of the bowl when you look at from above. The rim also has some rough edges. So aesthetically, it’s ugly. Now because the rim is rough, you can’t smoothly run the mallet around the rim. Combine that with the uneven thickness of the bowl, and it won’t sing. You just hear the mallet getting scratched. So the bowl is essentially a worthless ugly piece of junk. Only useful for loose change or paper clips stashed in a dark drawer where no one has to see it.
