Posing Ideas for Glamour, Fine Art and Facial Expressions: A Detailed Photo Book with Suggestions and Tips

I have so many photography books. This is really one of the best. The book has sections showing posing; standing, in a chair, on a stool, on a sofa, on the floor, art poses, facial expression.Many good poses. One of the most helpful books on posing I've ever seen.

The book has a lot of great posing tips for both models and photographers. Kristy (author), both models for the poses shown as well as provides her years of incite via tips positioned next to specific images.Proper posing is one of the few things taught to most photographers unless they also been fortunate to have artistic training. Many new models don't know where to start and this book will provide a great entry guide for the price.

This author is known for going around and teaching live model workshops, and now she has finally produced a comprehensive guide on her techniques. This book is a wonderful purchase for any potential or existing models to not only see (and steal) great poses, but to understand how to use each pose, why each pose works, and what change each subtle body movement produces. This book is organized in sections that vary from face poses, full body, unique poses, prone, and even how to treat differences in lighting and camera angles. It is easy to read, easy to navigate, and quite enlightening.

Kristy Jessica has crafted an amazing posing guide that is a perfect resource for models and photographers, both beginners and pros. She breaks down posing into simple and easy to understand concepts while encouraging users to experiment, but most importantly communicate. The photos are well shot and detailed and clearly illustrate the concepts Kristy presents. The entire book is positive and encouraging throughout and will definitely be a go to resource. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a well organized and easy to manage posing resource.

Very through

Kristy Jessica takes her years of modeling experience to provide a huge number of poses. These provide ideas but with the tips provides instruction on what makes a pose good and better. The poses cover different positions--standing, sitting, etc. and head shots. Also with different lighting styles. I found the book overwhelming and at the same time inspiring because it has so many different poses as examples It is interesting to look at other model photos and see how their poses follow Kristy's tips. Recommended for your library.

Kristy is one of the best traveling models and this book is amazing as it's broken into 3 sections.1. Posing in high key and three point lighting2. Artistic and creative posing with directional light3. And facial expressions which is so important.

Some brilliant pose ideas. Been looking for a book like this. Camera settings etc are not included, the book concentrates purely on poses.

This is a good book. I’m an experienced portrait photographer but still found this useful. The images are well done, and the advice helpful. Certainly a book I’d recommend to starting models and photographers.
