When We Met: A Small Town Single Dad Romance Paperback – April 13, 2021

Barron Grady. This man and his love for his kids was the sweetest thing. He was dealt a crappy hand in love but when he met Kacy all of that changed.Things moved so fast and at some parts I wanted them to slow down, but fated love usually hits different. And it definitely did in this story. Barron embodied southern charm mixed with rugged ranch man and while Kacy fell hard he was right there with her free falling too. No one could deny their love.The wit and funny moments in this book had me laughing hard and SEV OMG I love this kid! She was so hilarious with all her quirky little ways.The side characters were well written and I loved what they added to the story. Overall, this was a quick, small town love story that I definitely recommend reading.

I loved the story and it was very funny. *spoilers* It’s about Kacy the h and Barron the H. Kacy is from a rich family and she is a personal assistance to Tara, a very b*+#hy model. Her parents are not much better. After finding her mother in bed with her boyfriend she gets fed up and quits her job and basically dumps her family. She hits the road looking for a more quiet, country way of life. After getting caught in a snowstorm she hits a deer and runs into the side of the H’s garage. They have an instant attraction to each other. When they first meet is also when she realizes he is the husband of her ex employer. She however doesn’t say anything. The angst in this wasn’t huge but it was realistic especially the way the H reacted to it. Barron’s wife left him with 2 young kids to because their life wasn’t enough for her anymore. She however is now going to marry some rich guy so she keeps sending the H divorce papers which he doesn’t sign because she is requesting joint custody. He doesn’t think she deserves that so he doesn’t sign the papers until she gives him full custody. I thought this was a great funny story and it was told well. The characters were very well written. Even the kids were great and funny. I thought the dialogue for the 3 year old was a bit advanced at some times throughout the book but besides that it was a very great read.

This is absolutely the best book I've read in years. I've never laughed so much while reading. This storyline is so relatable and just downright fabulous! I love the relationship between Barron and his girls as well as Barron and Kacy. The girls quirks were so much fun. Their banter had me nearly peeing my pants. Thank you Shey for your imagination and writing it down for the rest of us to enjoy.

Omg I absolutely love this book and these characters were amazingly fun to read. Shey is one of those authors you just one click and just enjoy the ride. Her style of writing is easy and fun with a mix of emotional moments. She never fails to suck me into these amazing stories from just a few paragraphs.Hands down my favorite character in this book was Sev, that toddler was the craziest and I couldn't stop laughing at her mischief. Honestly this whole book has the best characters and side characters. This single country dad and crazy city girl made the perfect Insta love connection and the adventures that follow are the best.I highly recommend this book if you want to laugh a ton and swoon a little with the country mannerisms. Grab this book ASAP you won't be able to put it down. Definitely another five star book.

The plot was good. I enjoyed this book and read it pretty fast. Both MC where likeable. The weighting style was different than I'm used to not in a bad way though. The characters had alot of inner dialog and made it seem like they where talking to the reader. I got zac Morris freeze faming save by the bell monolog vibes from it. 😆

Shey Stahl does it again with awesome characters. This story didn’t have me in tears like some of her others, but I was laughing a lot. I love the girls, the story, the main characters. The story moved at the right speed and had a perfect ending - altho I could read about Sev’s antics forever

Having previously read and only mildly enjoyed this author before, I wasn't expecting too much when I picked this one up. My expectations were wildly exceeded! In this case, it was absolutely the children that made it for me. Sevyn and Camdyn 100% stole the show here, and the relationships they had with Kacy and Barron. K&B's love story took a back seat, and for the most part, I didn't really care about it. But the girls, how they were with each other, and all of the adults around them, that was the story that I fell in love it. I sincerely hope that we will get to see time in other books, either as side characters for others at this ranch, or their own love stories when they're older.

This book was actually really good. Usually from some books I read you don’t always get to see the kid’s personality these two girls are just non stop and your constantly laughing. It’s a nice sit down and read in a day or two. And it also shows fate can step in anytime and you never know where your second chance will be.

I absolutely love sev and cam, they make this already amazing book so much more entertaining. Definitely one of my favourites

I would 100% love to take a road trip with Kacy, on second thought, the girl has zero sense of direction, can't drive in the snow, and is a complete disaster. Ok fine, I'll drive lol. Now running into that hot cowboy Barron Grady with that sexy southern drawl the way Kacy did, sign me up! Well, maybe not the exact way she did, remember, the girl has zero sense of direction, can't drive in the snow, and is a complete disaster. Who knew that when Kacy Connor slammed into Barron's life it would be just the right amount of added crazy he didn't know his daughters and he needed. And When Kacy decided on a road trip to explore the south, she'd find out that some baby goats, a 3-year-old witch, a 5-year-old teenage girl, and a hardworking hot as hell southern rancher/daddy would be everything she never knew she wanted. I didn't want this story to end, LOVED IT!!!

Barron and Kacy meet when Kacy runs her car into the side of Barron's repair shop.Kacy soon put 2 and 2 together and realises that Barron is actually the husband of her ex boss.She keeps that little secret to her self, but when Barron's wife comes wanting their divorce papers signed the cats out of the bag.A brilliantly written story with excellent characters and a happy ending guaranteed.

Makes my heart swell.remember reading somewhere that when a mother has a girl first, it’s because she needs to mature. When she has a boy first, she needs to experience real love.Best quote ever!I have a boy. The love of my life!

Cam and Sev were the best part of this story. They are adorably insane and such a riot. I laughed so much reading this book.Barron was a great dad trying to do his best. Yes his daughter know more curse words than is probably recommended but they are loved and know it.I liked how he interacted with Kacey and their growing relationship.This was a really entertaining read with likable characters. I had a great time with that story.
