The Bronze [Blu-ray]

Mel Rauch the 1 and only at her best and on full display.
This movie, I mean i already adored Melissa Rauch, and her VS work as Harley Quinn had her imo the true heir to the mantle after Tara Strong said she was retiring from it. No offense to the actress in those terrible DCU films. But after seeing her, and I do mean seeing her in this role, how she was not tapped to do HQ in a live action role in a proper rated R rival to Deadpool from the MCU is beyond me.Not only does she have the sharp tongue and sassy wit ,but she does her share of full nude acrobatics in this that will just blow the mind of any man who already admired her form. And the movie itself, oh its good adult fun. Its funny in every good adult way possible without being over the top in any real crude way imo. Even the language and sex scenes imo first and foremost were about having fun and being funny. I mean if you are not laughing during the gymnastics sex scene then well, if that does not sound like your cup of tea, then carry on and move along nothing to see here ( except the gorgeous Mel Rauch ofcourse;)).

Fun as heck
As other reviewers have captured, yes, some of the late-in-film character development/switches were a bit undeveloped, and yes, it’s very colorful in its dialogue. However, as a fan of natural swearing that just flows from the character and doesn’t ever seem out of place, I adored this film! It’s no different than the legions of crass male-dominated narratives we are immune to at this point, so films with womxn behaving outside traditional tropes is still refreshing to be seeing more and more of——thank you execs for listening finally!!!!!This is a great combo of Will Ferrell-esque niche-parodies and a coming of adult-age film in many ways (I’m reminded of Bridesmaids at the moment), in its fairly raw portrayal of messiness that can accompany adulting post-prolonged-childhood.Overall nothing earth-shatteringly philosophical, but a great parody and commentary nonetheless framed in a gender-switched way and thoroughly enjoyable! Would totally watch again! And the lead’s accent (which I enjoyed but can’t authenticate), as well as her dated moment-in-time glam treatment (which I can authenticate that) was spot on! Such great production, makeup/hair and costume design!

Stick It's Potty Mouth Sibling
I love the film Stick It. Perhaps because I participated in gymnastics as a child. Or maybe because I think it’s hilarious and with a good character story buried in the silliness. The Bronze is the same kind of story. Only it's vulgar. Really vulgar. I'm pretty sure you'll know within the first 20 minutes if this is your thing. It's my thing. Just my opinion as always.

it was .......
the main character was rude and crude and honestly didn't like her, the actor who played her did a good job, but the character, didn't like her. the other actors did well with their characters as well. i would say i did find the bickering between the characters hope and lance tucker funny( when she snapped at him and he snapped back). though the character lance tucker was a cocky(like really cocky) effer, he still would have been a better choice for a gymnastics coach on the professional point of view. other then that the movie was ...........

That movie I didn't want to love
I typically don't like so much negative, foul mouthed, raunchy humor...but..it was actually pretty good. It grew on me and I watched ti a second time and really decided I like it. The concept is hilarious. The rivalry is hilarious. It could have gone so outlandish like a lot of other comedies based around athletes, but they actually kept it kind of real...just with a ton of crass humor...the only unreal thing was the sex scene but that was hilarious too. I would never watch this movie with my family...but let's say if they watched it individually they'd probably like it too.

Don't waste your time...
The only person worth rooting for is a support character who deserved much better. The main character is selfish, rude, crude, and vile in every way. There are no redemptive traits in her and even her arc isn't an arc. The mother to the young gymnast was transformed out of the blue into an evil mother for no reason other than to give the main character a reason to be the better choice. Sebastian Stan's character in the reality of the situation was doing the right thing and was the right coach, but for some reason he was villainized for it (yes, he was vile too, but 'professionally' the right choice) so, again, the main character could appear to have a valid 'everyone's against & hates me' complex. The main character earned nothing, tried to sabotage her own athlete, cheated on her BF, is a thief, beyond selfish and spoiled in every way, but we're supposed to feel bad for her when she isn't succeeding and others are? Uhhh, what?

Bronze gets the Gold in my book!!
Great movie starring Melissa Rauch (Big Bang Theory) like you've never HEARD her before!! She's a has-been living on a vague celebrity past (familiar??) and has to train an up-coming star who is as good, if not better than she is. She does learn a lot from the experience, but it doesn't stop her swearing for a moment!! IF YOU ARE PRUDISH, BEWARE! This movie contains a little masturbation, some very comical gymnastic sex and swearing all the way through! If this is likely to offend, stick with Disney!! For those NOT easily offended by life, enjoy! Melissa is fantastic!! Even the end credits feature a rap from Melissa which you will find under Melissa Rauch F-That on YouTube!!
