The Tiger Claw

Best book I've ever read. Honestly its a great read. Although it does contradict everything about my faith, it's so painfully accurate to how normal people would react to their situations. It's incredible and I recommend it for anyone to read. Whether you're in to history or not.

powerful female storytelling, I'm a big fan of this author

This is a beautiful book about suffering during WWII. It is very sad but uplifting and well written.

If you like this book, you'll LOVE Baldwin's earlier novel, "What the Body Remembers".The Tiger Claw has the author's characteristic emotional sensitivity and poise, and is a very satisfying read. If it were the first Baldwin novel I was reading, I would probably give it more than 3 stars. However, her earlier work - What the Body Remembers is just SO much better, that I couldn't help feeling somewhat disappointed with this book.
