This is a nifty training knife that my brother loves to use. The construction itself is of good quality. It feels heavy, durable, and comfortable in hand. It is not sharp, and the knife itself is molded/curved, so it feels safe to play with. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to buy one. The only caveat I would mention is that the screw keeps getting loose, and my brother has to keep tightening it up at the end of the day. Aside from this screw issue, I think it's a great training tool at a reasonable price.

Would not recommend buying this trainer. Very cheaply made. After flipping for the first flip. The screws and pin came off the bottom and I had to look over the floor to find a tiny pin. After screwing it in and securing it with the provided tools. They also give you extra screws I guess in anticipation of losing them. Just not the tiny bar that holds the latch in place.It flips ok. Will pinch your skin upon closing if you aren’t careful.

Only been using it for a few days, but the weight distribution on this thing is amazing. Torque screws are always really sensitive and easy to strip so be careful when adjusting them. That aside, this is easily the best trainer I’ve bought under 30$ (So far), and I’ve bought a lot of them.

I'm gonna be upfront and say that I don't know what is good or bad in the world of training butterfly knives. However, I will list her the things that I noticed upon taking it our of the package.1. Seems to be heavy and sturdy for flipping, the unsharpened blade is perfect for a beginner2. The knife is NOT blue as it seems to be in the first photo and all other reviews. It is solid black underneath the silver skeleton.3. The paint is messy, there are chips and uneven lines all over- noticeable to me casually looking it over. Since this is to be a Christmas gift, it's disappointing to see a paint job that looks half *ssed. The design is definitely on point though and I think my boyfriend will still be plenty excited.3. It comes with a case and extra screws, so it looks like it will be very durable and usable for awhile.Overall pretty exciting, only slightly disappointed in how it looks, but I believe it'll be a great training knife :)
