I found that bed pads tend to move around and wrinkle. This one protects the whole bed side to side and the extra material allows you to tuck in both sides. This is a great product!

I very rarely write reviews, but this item is a lifesaver. I ordered this mattress bed pad for my 93-year-old grandmother as we change her bedding daily. We usually buy disposable underpads. As you know, constantly buying underpads is very expensive. I was searching for something more efficient as well as cost practical on Amazon and found this product. At first, we were skeptical because we never used or heard of a mattress bed pad. Oh, my goodness, this product is a Godsend! This mattress bed pad protected my grandmother's skin and bed from moisture. It is very absorbent. Our home care worker was surprised that my grandmother was not drenching wet the following morning. The mattress pad covered the area that is usually soaked from her underpads. The best thing is that my grandmother is happy. The mattress bed pad stayed in place all night as the ends tucked under her mattress. Did I mention that it is machine washable.........so awesome! I recommend that you try this mattress pad. You and your family will be satisfied. I will be purchasing this item for another family member.

We bought this for our elderly father to keep sheets clean. Before this we were using a small pad which would get moved during the night. These are great as they tuck into both sides of the bed so they stay in place. Great idea.

I bought this as a women with unfortunate extremely heavy flow periods. In terms of protection, this meets all expectations.However, it isn't going to protect anything is it is moving around. It absolutely does NOT stay in place. I have a brand new queen size bed and the sides tuck under about 5 inches on each side. By time I sit on the bed and position myself, at least one of the sides is untucked. This may work for a full size bed, but I would NOT recommend it for a queen. And there is nothing on the bottom to anti-bunching or anti-slip. As a nurse, I use slid sheets to lift patients in bed safely and they also act as a barrier. This could easily be used for that because it slips quite easily although it isn't slick.

It was too big for my bed other than that it was made great! And worked well
