Worked perfectly
I have a midi organ. I was using an old silver cabled interface which didn’t really work. It would constantly change the stops or activate the general cancel. This one works a treat. Plug and play and I can enjoy my organ without issues

Worked a treat
I purchased this so I could use my old midi keyboard from the 90's in my home studio. It works perfectly and could not be happier with it. Now just need to make more music.

Re-boot PC
I have a Kawai ES110 piano keyboard. On the instructions that came with the Midi cables, I did instruction 1 and 2 but - no.3 of the instructions states "Adjust the keyboard to MIDI mode". I wasn't sure what to do here - and looking at the keyboard manual page 40 - I couldn't understand what, if anything, I needed to change, so I didn't make any changes. The red light came on one the midi cables were connected to the PC but my Piano Marvel app didn't recognise the keyboard. After doing a re-boot my app recognised the keyboard. As soon as a note is played a blue led light is activated in the 'dongle' of the midi to usb cable. This indicates that the keyboard notes are being transmitted to/received by the PC.Very easy to set up. There is a good photo on the instructions card that shows very clearly how to connect the midi cable to your piano keyboard. (I'm sure that without that photo, I would have done it incorrectly. Thanks for that. The midi cables and 'dongle' look to be of good construction and I'm happy with the overall quality and the price that I paid.

Cheap, practical midi input to laptop
Bought to connect a keyboard with limited patches to a laptop using Grand Orgue software.Connection was straightforward, Windows 10 drivers appeared with no drama, and the MIDI signals seem accurate. The keyboard sometimes throws a midi related error, but it doesn’t seem to have any impact on functionality. There is noticeable latency which can be distracting when playing, but overall this was an excellent, easy to use and good value for money solution to gaining a huge set of organ sounds and flexibility. The device and connectors seem robust enough, but only time will tell how durable they are.

Very poor response.
Used with brand new electronic drum kit. Misses almost half of the drum strikes when a child is playing. The processor is nowhere near up to the job. I tried 3 computers and 4 types of program including garage band. Used a different midi cable…. Problem solved

Great way to make a modern PC play MIDI back through a MIDI sound module!
There are, of course, plenty of people who will need this adapter to connect non-USB MIDI devices to their computer for the purposes of input, but I bought this specifically because I wanted *output*, and it performs the job wonderfully. In my particular case, I wanted some old-school games that were using my PC's built-in MIDI player to instead play through my Roland SC-55 mkII, and I was able to get it up and running in no time flat.Step 1: Make sure your PC and your MIDI sound module are turned on.Step 2: Plug the OUT plug on the adapter into the MIDI IN port on the sound module and the IN plug to the MIDI OUT port. This is pretty common practice for MIDI devices, and the bundled instructions also tell you to do this, but this is also where people seem to get turned around the most.Step 3: Plug the USB end of the adapter in to your computer.Step 4: Use a freeware program like MidiMapper by CoolSoft to change your default MIDI device to USB Midi Device.Step 5: That's it! Optionally, if you want the MIDI sounds from the module to play back through your computer's audio and not through dedicated speakers, you can use an aux cable on the module's output jack to plug in to your computer's Line In 3.5mm jack. If your computer only has a headphone jack, it might support switching the headphone jack to a Line In jack, such as via Realtek Audio Console.)I'm really pleased with how easy to use this was, as well as how nice the device looks (looks aren't important, but they are appreciated). I'll update my review if this changes, but right now, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

Quality build
Works perfectly. Ableton recognizes it without a plugin. Would purchase again if I need another.
