Easy to use. Smart Life and LaView compatible
I love these cheap 1080p cameras that come from the Tuya universe. For reference, I install and maintain IP camera systems from Dahua and Hikvision for some remote sites and have spent thousands of dollars on cameras, NVRs and software. For less than $25 a person can accomplish 98% of what I can in only a matter of minutes. It's insane! This is a super inexpensive yet very capable camera. Sure, it can't read a license plate and the motion alerts go off when spiders make whoopie in front of the lens. I have the same issues on the latest 8Mp wired IP cameras. For checking on the dog or stay-at-home kids/elderly, this camera is awesome. My recommendation: Get this camera as a start to seeing how you will use it in your life. Once you determine a place you need to monitor, switch to a fixed mount camera and move this one somewhere else. This camera can track motion so it will follow the delivery guy out to his car but it's better to have a fixed camera that monitors motion in one place and notifies via the app.The Tuya universe is great since there's a bazillion plugs, lights, switches, cameras, sensors and locks that all work under the app. It's not perfect but it's better than pretty much anything else out there. It's also fully integrated into Alexa so you can name this camera something like "Pan Tilt" and then tell your echo show 8 "Alexa, Show my Pan Tilt camera". Neato.Just FYI - if you have low end LaView cameras and use the LaView app, you can add this camera to that system using the same QR code. LaView's app is scaled down Smart Life. Not to knock high end cameras but I've provide the police with 4k video with clear plates, driver and passenger face views and video of smash and grab parking lot crime and none of it has helped. This $25 camera would have provided the same time/event info as that $25,000 plate recognition system.

Great camera
This camera was a little tricky for me to set up but the seller got back to me and helped me where I was stuck. It was easier for me to set it up manually and once set up it performs excellent. I have a young dog about a year old and need to keep an eye on him while I'm out. This camera is very clear and you can direct it in any position you need. I keep mine on a bottom shelf so I can see him much better. I have a few other cameras through out the house and it keeps my mind at ease being able to peek in and seeing what he's up to. The speakers work well nice and loud great camera all around. Good quality and durable.
