nambe MT0796 Curvo Salad Scissors Silver

Beautiful craftsmanship just a little awkward to use due to the large size but love them anyway.

I love Nambe's product line and these salad scissors were nicely made. However they are heavy and very large. If I were to use them to serve a salad I'd need to use both hands. I'm not petite. I'm 5'9" tall and weigh 145 lbs. My hands are of average size. I wanted an easy way to serve a tossed green salad. I'd like them to be smaller for average sized hands and much lighter in weight.

I gave these a one star because they are super heavy and big and cannot be used with one hand. Not ergonomic. If the Incredible Hulk needs tongs... these are the ones for him.

These tongs seem like they're built to last. Very solid and beautiful all at the same time. The pictures don't really do them justice. If I have a con it would be the weight. For an all adults meal, I think these will generally work great, but they are probably too heavy for kids (or anyone with smaller hands) to use (at least with one hand). Additionally (and not necessarily a con), although there was nothing in the box that clearly stated whether or not these are dishwasher safe, I wouldn't recommend putting them in your dishwasher. The handles are real wood that I'm sure would be damaged in the dishwasher. Other than that, excellent product that I would buy again.

The unit is beautifully designed and made of lovely materials that look good. BUT... the hinge is located too far up or down or the spoon/fork parts are too large. Whatever... it is hard to use these. One would need a very large hand to open them far enough to actually grab a good amount of salad. They are also quite heavy and quite large. I would not buy them again. I just wanted a one-handed unit that looked better than plastic salad tongs, but this is not the answer. Disappointing.
