Works great
Cleaned out my rifle real good. Just make sure you lube it up before you pull it through, use that handle or wrap it around your hand a couple times if you don't mind cleaner on your hands and some sore skin. Even handy as a quick brush on other parts if you grip it right under the wire brush sections.

Hoppe’s Viper Boresnake makes quick work of cleaning the barrel of my pistol.
This viper boresnake in .40 and .41 caliber makes quick work of cleaning my pistol. It’s small enough to carry in my range bag. If I want to do a quick clean at the range I put a little bit of Hoppe’s #9 on my snake and make a couple passes and I’m ready to get back sending lead down range.I have a bunch of these a different caliber for both my rifles and my handguns. I highly recommend bore snakes.

BEST especially for lever action rifles
I love boresnakes. Especially when you can't disable the action and can't get to the breach of the barrel. You should "never" push a cleaning rod through the front of the barrel due to possibily damaging the barrel which will reduce accuracy. I know this, but had to weigh cleaning my rifle verses damaging the bore. Using a boresnake gives you the ability to clean the barrel and still do it via the breach!!!

This is the bore Snake to buy
The slightly improved original. The best one out out there.I use this snake for my Ruger SBE 44 mag. It's perfect for not only the bore, but the cylinder as well.

It works
I saw this on a gun cleaning video. Ha to try it as my other bristle stick cleaner would get stuck. This worked so well. Even I could pull it through with my weak hands. It's great.
