Beautiful handles--instructions iffy
These are very sturdy and beautiful door levers--especially for the price. I had a little trouble with the instructions as they must have been written for a previous model of the latch. The latch mechanism that came with my handle doesn't look exactly like the one that is pictured here. The spindle doesn't have an o ring and the hole that you put the spindle through doesn't look like the one pictured. So this all lead to a little confusion when I was installing them--but I figured it out with a little trial and error. Also this latch is adjustable for 2 different lengths. Also the instructions should state how to get the rosette off--thank goodness for you tube. One tip--the rosette on this handle can't completely come off (due to the width of the handle) so it dangles on the handle while you are installing it. I would recommend protecting the handle with some painters tape so it doesn't get scratched by the dangling rosette during installation. I had a few minor scratches but luckily its on the inside of the closet door. The other thing I would mention is that you need a 1 inch bore hole for the latch. My 60 year old door had a 7/8 inch hole so I had to file it out larger.

Love my handles
Replaced all my home's door handles with Fortessa Wave. Old ones were cheap brass knobs. Fortressa handles were solid, easy to install (despite the directions being for a different model), great price, and excellent craftsmanship. One was missing a pin for the privacy lock, so I dropped them a message asking for just the pin, and a few days later they sent an entire new handle. Also, the cylinder was slightly larger than the old cylinder hole, so I used a half round metal (fine tooth) file to get the hole to the perfect fit. Thought I'd include that tip incase anyone else runs into this issue. If Fortessa can lock down their included directions, they're going to crush their competition. The handles look and work great! I would absolutely buy from them again and highly recommend them.

I can NOT believe what amazing QUALITY these are! They look like and weigh like they should cost ten times the amount they do! I am buying a LOT more of these!
