Mont Marte MODELING CLAY 500G BROWN

I purchased this to detail sculpt a carved head for rabbit taxidermy. I really like it.It is NOT ‘sticky’ like some other people mentioned…they must have gotten a bad batch. This stuff doesn’t absorb water very easily but also isn’t hydrophobic, just don’t expect to be able to add more on top and smooth it with water like you would with ‘natural’ clay. Very thick stuff, easy to use, dry enough to not get all over my hands but wet enough to be soft and uncracking. I have it stored in a tupperware with a touch of water to keep it humid in there. Can’t say how long it takes to dry yet, but I can say it holds its shape very well against accidentally bumps and scrapes while it’s still wet.

this stuff is TERRIBLE! it was so hard to work with, it began drying out really quickly, but as soon as i added even the smallest bit of water it was like goo. once dried, everything just crumbled apart. it was an absolute waste of money.

Totally useless. Don't buy. Doesn't give any white effect at all, whether with graphite or with black charcoal. Waste of money.

I really like this brand, and the terra cotta is really easy to use, dries well, and is great quality. I feel like the price is high, as I've been able to by this clay locally for much less than listed on prime.

I will get white next time, this is very messy and stained my hands and the surface. Dried fast, but don’t replace a real clay.
