Martin(マーチン) Concert Ukulele, Braun (0XK)

This is a nice simple ukulele with no quality issues that’s Made in Mexico. It’s nothing fancy.

Don’t know if my review is relevant. The uke I ordered vanished in the mail. Amazon was great about giving me a full refund. I then went and picked one up in a brick-and-mortar store like our ancestors used to. It plays great.

Really good quality and price. Sounds awesome and is playable out of the box.

A great product but it could be better. Firstly, I wish it was available with a higher grade fretboard timber. Secondly, the top of mine is warped between the bridge and the sound-hole, causing the bridge to tilt forward substantially and the bridge is not in perfect alignment, which means the high g string is not pitch perfect along its entire length and this also means that the12th fret harmonic on this string is not where it should be and this means that it does not produce a very loud harmonic note. I may get this corrected by a luthier, but this is an added expense. I am very fond of 17 fret, 12 fret to the body concert ukuleles - which this is. I also like the old style rear facing tuners. I also really like the smaller size fret wire, and the profile of the neck. Both of these factors make it more playable. I love the string set that came with it Martin clear flurocarbons. I hadn't tried these before, they sound fantastic and they have a broader dynamic range than other strings I have used. Lastly, the obvious benefit of this ukulele is - it is not wood and therefore it is perfect for bushwalking and camping. Which is the main reason I bought it.
