Hikari330349 Saki Growth Medium Pellets, 17.6 oz

Have used this food for years, excellent growth as it states and it does decrease the bio load on the filter due to less waste. It’s noticeable within the first 2 moths of switching. Be patient and let it work. Would not use anything else. Have used many other name brands over Time, no others gave my koi growth and color like this. Most have clouded the water and blocked the filters several times a week due to fish waste. Have tosai or fish less than 1 year, that have reached 10-12 inches in 6 months. During the growing season.

Our Koi are used to inexpensive Tetra Koi Food that look like floating mini Ramen noodles. So the first feeding was a disaster. I had to net up the all new Hakari food as the fish would only spit it out. The next day I only fed a few pellets, again they spat it out... but this time one actually ate a pellet. Once one ate, they all ate! Now they feed like frenzied sharks!!! I combine this Saki-Hakari Growth with Hakari Gold for color enhancements. These Saki pellets are small enough for our smallest Koi at about 5" to eat easily.

I like the fact that my koi fish loves this food and eat it readily. However since I’ve been feeding this, it has turned my pond a beautiful emerald green color that I can’t get rid of (water changes and daily filter changes, clarifier and bacteria additive). I haven’t been able to see my fish since using. I recommend feeding if you don’t mind the water color.

If you're trying to fatten up your koi, this is it. My koi never get tired of gulping them. And yes you'll see them grow significantly. Good quality stuff.

Our koi went from nibbling their small, store bought pellets to greeting us excitedly when we drop these in! They are so huge after just a couple of months, I am wondering if they could be preggers!

I feed this for my African cichlids even my flowerhorn, there color is more vivid and colorful, my only problem is, it's quite expensive but u pay what u pay for
