Precious Memories
My dad is a man of few words, so I don’t know a whole lot about his experiences growing up. It didn’t bug me much until recently when he was diagnosed with late stage cancer. I got this book and my family and I are taking turns sitting down with him and asking him questions. Some of the birth/early childhood stuff he doesn’t remember, so we got his brother and cousins involved to help fill in blanks and they’ve enjoyed going down memory lane—they find it cathartic. It’s no replacement for my father, but I love that my family and I will have a record of his life and memories that we can read through, especially with his grandkids.

Lovely and a great idea. But a bit pricey for the size.
I love this idea. I got this so that when my elderly mom comes to my house, I can have her start writing her story down to preserve for the future. The first one I ordered came severely bent but the second one was in good shape. Nicely packaged for gifting. It's a lovely journal and has leading questions with plenty of writing space. But for the size of it, it still seems a bit steep in price.Recommended for someone who wants to get their story down on paper or have a loved one do to same.

Perfect Christmas Gift
Such a fun memorabilia gift. I gave this to my mom and mother-in-law for Christmas and I’m so excited to get them back and learn all about the little details you don’t think to ask.

A good fit
The suggested topics fit my life better than most such journals. There is plenty of room for the stories I want to tell.

Beautiful book, great gift idea
As the years go by and I'm forgetting things from my youth, this journal has been a nice way to revisit special moments and share them with my family. It's beautiful and would make a lovely gift.

Great idea, I wish I had one of these for each of my parents and grandparents.
This is a wonderful idea. I wish I had something like this filled out by my parents or grandparents. Is it perfect no, but my gosh, it is better than nothing. Imagine an autobiography of those you love. In this day of many elders getting dementia, it might also be an excellent tool for someone to read to them and remind them who they are.My grandmother was close to me, but I would have loved to have had her fill this out. You can make it your own. You can add pictures. But most important is there are prompts for each age.Enough of my gushing about this as a great idea, I will explain the book.It is a hard bound journal blue cloth like surface (really accumulates cat hair) about an A5 size (6-¼ x 9-¼”)with a ribbon placemark. Spots to put your name, your genealogy and it covers groups of ages.**** BIrth 0-2 years**** Childhood: 3-12 years**** Teenage: 13-18 years**** Young Adult: 19-30 years**** Adult: 31-64 years**** Golden Years: 64+ yearsRoughly some of the prompts as obviously they are different per years:Teenage years:**** Where did you go to high school?**** When did you learn to drive?**** Did you get a car to drive in high school**** Where did you work in high school**** Did you participate in any clubs in high school**** Who were your friends in high school**** What shenanigans did you get into in high school**** Did you take any lessons or participate in any extracurricular activities**** What was your favorite band, kind of music, where did you listen to it**** What was your favorite book in high school**** Who were the biggest celebrities at the time**** What hobbies did you have, what were you curious about, interested in or passionate about**** What were some of the best trips you went on during this time**** What were your favorite foods in high school**** Did you have a favorite place to hang out, spots on campus, restaurants, friends, places, etc.**** What were some of your favorite movies and TV shows in high school**** Did you have any pets**** Did you have any special traditions**** What was going on in your family at the time**** What was your relationship like with your parents or siblings**** When did you get your first job**** Did you have your first date or dance, what was it like, who with, how did you feel**** Was your first kiss during this time, if so describe it, where was it, how did you feelEtc.11 more questions after this with a bunch of blank lines after so you can continue. Also a spot for 2 pictures and info about them.So it prompts you. It also makes an upper class US assumption. A car was inconceivable for me in HS. Also did not have a job. I’m sure military kids had multiple high schools. So, you make it into what you want, but the prompts help.Great idea. I plan to fill this out in pencil, as sometimes my hand gets ahead of my head. Then I will ink over.

Logo on cover and mountain end pages a bummer
I like the prompts in this book and the short spaces for writing. I had a problem with the promptly logo on the cover…Um this is my book not theirs. And I had a problem with the mountains graphic on the end pages…I live in Florida. If those were different this would be a much better product, feel more luxurious, and could command a higher price.
