These are the exact same blank-key style as the OEM keys I have for my Yamaha V-Star 1300 Tourer. Somehow managed to snap one of my original keys late one night and couldn't be without at least one backup set. Rule of thumb when riding motorcycles... have one set on you and one running the bike. So, I bought these key blanks and rolled them on down to my local locksmith and had them cut me two brand new keys. These blanks are so good... that they work better than my original keys... as they have worn down over time.Would 100% purchase these again if I needed extra keys for my bike.

Looks like OEMS but material is lighter, no big deal given the price. After you get it cut by lock smith, functionally it works fine EXCEPT on my Yamaha Stratoliner, the key does not work with the steering lock function where you have the push the key down and turn to lock. After some investigation, I discovered the slotted channel on the key stops ~5mm short of the plastic while the OEM the channel goes all the way to the plastic. It must be that shorten channel that prevents the keys from pushing down to turn the steering lock. I confirmed this by using a dremel to extend the channel and then bingo, it works with the steering lock. Not hard to do, but of course doesn't look perfect when hand dremel'ed.

They bent the first time I used them to test the cut. They're still useful but have to be very careful and not carry them on my Beener or in my pocket.

When I bought my current motorcycle it was used and only had one key. So for me this was an easy decision. These keys were a direct duplicate of the original. All I had to do was take them to a locksmith and have them cut from the one I had… easy- peasy, even the shipping was fast would do business here again in the future.

Had these cut when I got them a few months ago. Work great for starting bike but if you apply too much torque to them like when removing the seat they will bend. Get name brand blanks (e.g. ilco) and save yourself the hassle
