Thunder Group 24 Quart Aluminum Steamer Basket Fits ALSKSP005

The basket was wrapped inside a plastic bag and then placed into a cardboard box that snugly holds the basket. There were no dents or damage to my basket despite not having any additional padding. It arrived on time within their stated window. This was the best price I found on Amazon for a steamer basket this size. I already have a 100 quart pot which came with a basket, but I wanted another basket. One to hold the veggies and one to hold the crawfish. The measurements stated in the description are spot on and the product is as described. This new basket measured just a tad smaller than my original so it fits just fine into my 100 qt pot. The handle appears solidly attached to the basket and I don't foresee any problems with it when I actually use it the next time I boil a sack of crawfish. Overall I'm very happy with this basket. It's exactly what I was looking for and the price was just right. I found other similar steamer baskets that were over $100.Attached is a picture of this new basket in the front with my older basket behind it. This new basket actually looks bigger because of the way the picture was taken, but it is actually just a little smaller than the original basket behind it which came with the 100 qt pot to the left.

This company was a nightmare to deal with. The product was fine but it did not work with my pot. Not the company’s fault but returning it is a complete headache. They wanted me to pay to return and to pay a 15 percent restocking fee!! Crazy right?! It’s been weeks I have gotten no money returned and I will never buy anything from this company again!!

This strainer fit almost perfect in my Boil pan. It sure makes getting the boil out easier. Also great for just cooking the shrimp & clams when someone wants it so not to over cook. I thought it was of fine quality and cleaned up well after using. Sure made our Boil much easier to get out what we wanted each time a new person stopped by. This way the food is hot until needed. The only bad thing is that it is about an inch too high so could not close the lid all the way down.

Bought this steamer after trying to determine all dimensions and took the chance it would fit in the 40qt Update International 40qt stock pot. When centered in the pot, it fits with about 1.5 inches from the outside rim of the steamer to the inside edge of the stock pot and the lid fully closes over the pot. I believe the Update International pot is also made by the Thunder Group because of the fit but is not mentioned in the pot description. Lobsters and clams here we come!!

Its hard to find accurate dimensions for these strainers and others have made similar comments. I have a large presto pressure cooker that I use for many things without the pressure cooker lid, like making broth from frozen vegetable and garden scraps, or chicken or turkey broth, or batches of noodles, and often i need to strain product. Therefore a strainer insert has made my life so much easier!! But the thing was trying to find one that was big but would fit inside the large pressure cooker pot and OMG this once fits absolutely perfect! Like they were made to go together.

I needed a basket for my 40 qt aluminum tamale steamer for some fresh Dungeness crab and this fit almost perfect. Enough so that I could still place the lid atop it and it held the steam inside.

I had a stock pot that didn’t come with a basket and I didn’t want to purchase a new one so I nervously ordered this one. Works perfect! Happy I ordered it.

Nice addition to a stock pot that I purchased over 30 years ago.
