Good but could be better
This KVM is currently working just fine. I have three computers hooked up to it and am able to switch between the systems like you'd expect. I also have a USB 3.0 powered hub plugged into this switch. Of course, since the KVM is USB 2.0, I am not getting any extra benefit from my powered hub. I give this part of the KVM a solid thumbs up - works good.I also appreciate the directness of the buttons on the front. It is very easy to switch systems. I also am glad this device does not ship with a remote control. I've used others that do - never use them. The remotes end up in my drawer and are a waste. Here is what could be done to improve this hub:-The red power LED is super bright. Talking Eye of Sauron here. Put in a less obnoxious LED. I will be covering mine up as it is distracting.-The 4 USB ports are on the front of this switch. It would be much better if it was on the back. Who wants a bunch of cables/plugs/etc sticking out of the front of this? This makes cable management a pain. I found another review someone posted where they used some USB angle adapters to rig it up so it moves the plug to the back - thank you! I am building the same contraption.-This USB ports are USB 2.0. This is fine for keyboards, mice, etc. USB 3.0 and a USB-C would be nice. I would pay extra (although if I am being honest, I do not really need it)-I own another KVM switch that came with HDMI and the USB cable "fused" together. This makes running cables easier and helps with cable management. This switch ships with separate USB and HDMI cables.I do not think any of the "negatives" I posted should stop you from purchasing this KVM. I am using mine and fine with the purchase (If I were really unhappy, I would have returned it.)

Quality construction / amazing price
After a month of use, I am surprised that this device has exceeded my expectations. I bought this to replace a device from IOGear that was (perhaps) a bit better but also cost almost 5 times as much.PROS: The device is exceptionally compact, has a quality build, and has clear indicator lights. It has an on/off switch!!! I know this seems like a little thing, but it's HUGE for me. I'll explain further at the end why this is a big deal since I want to keep this section positive.I've experienced ZERO glitches so far with the video, keyboard, or mouse. In short, it does what it's supposed to, does it well, and does it at a very reasonable price.I was happy to discover that the device did not include 3.5mm audio ports! It forced me to learn that my computers are perfectly capable of outputting audio over the HDMI cable. And I further learned that my monitor can decode the audio and output it to a 3.5mm port. So, this saved me four audio cables!CONS: It does not support hot-key switching. This is the one-and-only reason I did not give this device five stars. That said, for the significant price savings, I'm more than happy to lift my fingers off my keyboard (when necessary) :)While I really like how compact this device is, the small size does have one drawback. The weight of the cables has a tendency to pull the device towards the edge of my desk. It's a trade-off, that I'm not certain quite rises the level of "con".The packaging it arrived in was troubling. The device sits directly on the cardboard with zero protective shock absorption (e.g. styrofoam or airbags). In my case, the device arrived in perfect working order. I worry that others might not be so lucky. It included all the cables you need (except one)...the cable that goes from the device to the monitor. That said, I would argue that there were too many cables :) For each computer, they include separate cables for HDMI and USB. I wish instead, they included a single, combination HDMI/USB cable. It considerably reduces clutter (from 8 cables to 4) if you are using all of the ports. If you search on Amazon (or elsewhere), these cables are available for a reasonable price. Ultimately, I purchased four of them.FINAL OBSERVATION: Earlier I mentioned being especially happy about the inclusion of an on/off switch. Now, I'll explain why.First, this lets me save power by turning off the KVM when it's not in use. Second, in the event a glitch ever does occur (none in the first month), it lets me easily reset/reboot the KVM.This was extremely frustrating with my previous IOGear KVM, which could draw running power from any of the attached USB cables and included no on/off switch. It made turning it off impossible. And when it glitched (about every few months), I needed to disconnect all four USB cables to "reset" it (by powering it down). So, bottom line, I was super happy to see a nice, simple, physical on/off rocker switch on my new device. Thank you GREATHTEK!

Works perfectly for my multi-computer setup
I am currently using this KVM switch with three machines: a Windows 10 desktop connected with a DP-to-HDMI adapter cable, an older Linux (Kubuntu) desktop connected through an HDMI-to-DVI-D adapter, and a Windows 10 laptop connected by HDMI. The shared display is a Dell U2415 (1200p) monitor, and although there was some video flicker when I first connected the switch, it cleared up after I untangled and reconnected the cabling. I'm very happy with it so far. Some comments:1. I used the provided HDMI cables wherever possible and they work fine, though I cannot comment on their use for higher-resolution displays. They do not provide a fifth HDMI cable for connecting the switch to the monitor. The provided USB-B cables are the same length as the HDMI cables (1.5 m) and also work fine. I paired the HDMI and USB cables to simplify routing.2. I like that it has a dedicated power connection, switch, and indicator LED. I powered mine from my always-on Windows desktop through the provided micro-USB cable.3. Another reviewer complained about the lack of rubber feet. Mine came with self-adhesive rubber feet that work well, so perhaps the vendor responded.4. I don't care about hotkey switching, so it doesn't bother me that this KVM doesn't support it. I think this feature would require intercepting the raw keyboard signals at a specifically designated USB port, which is why hotkey switching on other KVMs often doesn't work for wireless keyboards. I'm using a basic wired keyboard and mouse, but wireless should work fine as long as the required drivers were installed on each machine.5. I like that the LEDs are bright and highly visible. The yellow LEDs indicate which ports have an active USB connection, and the green LEDs indicate which port is currently selected. The white buttons themselves are unlit.6. I wanted a KVM switch that would also switch a USB printer. My LaserJet works perfectly on all three connected machines. It appears that this unit acts purely like a switchable, four-port USB 2.0 hub. Every other USB device I've tried so far in my unused fourth port has worked.7. This unit does NOT have EDID emulation. The switched monitor serves as the main display (of three) for my desktop Windows machine. When I switch away from it, any windows that were in the main monitor move to a secondary monitor. So I've become very familiar with the Windows-Shift-Arrow shortcut for moving selected windows from monitor to monitor. If it had EDID emulation, I'd have to contend with a "ghost" extended monitor when using my connected-but-unselected laptop with its built-in keyboard and a separate wireless mouse.8. I also like that the ports on the back are ordered in the same direction as the buttons on the front: port 1 is directly behind the PC1 button, and port 4 is furthest to the right when looking from the front. Some KVMs reverse this, complicating port assignment or cabling.9. The case is metal and very solidly built.10. I like having a USB port available in the front (for thumb drives or other temporarily connected devices), but I'd prefer the others to be hidden in the back. However, this would require a larger case, and I also like the compactness of this switch.11. My monitor has a 3.5 mm jack that outputs audio sent through its HDMI input. So I connected speakers to this and now I can switch audio from each machine as well!
