Color more grayish, wears a bit hot, stylish
I purchased this shirt mainly for yard work. The fabric is a very lightweight somewhat billowy polyester. I think because it is made of polyester that they make the claim of UV protection and not because of some coating or process to the fabric. It does protect my arms and neck from the sun although I stay out for only a couple of hours at a time and try to avoid the hottest times of the day.The cut is ample so if using for yard work or outdoor activities then this is a big plus. I sometimes find that shirts pull around my midsection but this was loose and I could move freely. The sleeve length seemed a bit short which luckily worked out perfectly for me. I usually have to roll the cuffs of long sleeve blouses but not on this one. Again, for outdoor activities that is a plus. The cuff is loose and easy to slip the shirt on and off.I live in a hot climate area and found this shirt, even with the venting, to be hot. I suppose if there is a breeze or the temperatures are not in the high 80s then it would be more comfortable. If I'm working in the full sun, I get hot. If it is overcast or in the shade then shirt is more comfortable. Being polyester, the weave is tight so there is some protection from small twigs and leaves if you need to reach in or lean over bushes or hedges. The color is not a vibrant as what you see online. It more of a lighter green with grayish tones. I do like it though. The shirt, because made of that lightweight polyester, sits well on the body and I find it flattering with no clinging. I could see runs to the store in this blouse.

Mixed feelings and uncertain about UPF claim
UPF ?:I had a minor surgery on my arm and the dermatologist said the #1 most important thing I can do is keep the scar protected from the sun for at least a year. So here I am, preparing to spend the spring and summer in UPF long sleeves, yay! This shirt is thinner than I expected, to the point that I can't trust that it's actually UPF 50+, not to mention the tag on the shirt says UPF 40+ (see second photo). The fabric is translucent and you can clearly see your hand through the shirt if you hold it up to the light (I tried to take a photo one-handed. It's not the best picture, but you can see my fingers through the fabric.) I have since looked at some other UPF 50+ clothing in stores to compare, including a very similar Columbia shirt. Though the material on name brand UPF 50+ clothing was also thinner than I would expect (which was slightly reassuring about this shirt), it was not quite as translucent.Overall Look and Feel:I'm not sure how to think of this top. It is definitely lightweight. The material is what I would call flowy. It seems like it would be great to wear hiking, it's so lightweight you would barely know you're wearing it. But because the material is so thin, it makes the shirt look pretty formless, and it just sort of drapes over your body instead of looking like a traditional Safari shirt or button up.Sizing:I'm 5'5" 150 lbs, usually in between small and medium. I ordered a size medium because I wanted to make sure I could button the shirt... It's HUGE. I put it on and actually laughed. It felt like I was wearing a parachute over my body.I'm debating ordering a size small in this shirt, to see if I could make it work. I'm thinking of also buying a Columbia to compare the two. But in the back of my mind I can't help but wonder about how much UV protection this shirt would actually give me, and that's all I'm really after.

Perfect outdoor shirt!
I bought this for a 4 day camping/rafting trip in Utah. It was my most-worn piece of clothing. The mosquitos couldn’t bite through it, it dried super fast, and kept me from getting sun-burned. It is well-ventilated. I bought white because I thought it would be coolest, and it was- however, the collar and sleeves quickly got pretty dirty. (Bleached it when I got home.)Very happy with the purchase- what a great price!I am a size 4, and I bought the Small. It is a comfortable roomy fit.

Noisy fabric
Noisy fabric much like the sound of a winbreaker jacket. I bought this to go bird watching in but they will hear me a mile away. 😂

Great shirt - runs really big
I read the reviews before I purchased this shirt and some said the quality was not good. I disagree whole-heartedly. I usually buy the Columbia or REI shirts and the quality is right up there with those. I actually like the material much better. The quality of the stitching, etc is great. It's a really cute shirt and I will wear it in the summer for sun protection when hiking and take it when traveling. My only recommendation is order down a size. I'm 5'6" 130 lbs and have long arms and a long torso. The arms and the shirt were way too long. The Medium was huge on me. I don't like things fitted but this thing was just way too big. I returned it and ordered a small.

Different shirts not just different colors.
I had purchased this shirt in white and fell in love with the material, style and cut, so much so that I wanted the identical shirt in teal.Upon receiving the teal shirt I was exceptionally disappointed to see that it was not the same light weight material as the original purchase in white. But decided not to be to concerned as I still like the "Columbia Type" style and decided to keep it and did not bother to try it on right then as I incorrectly presumed it to be the same cut. It wasn't till a week or so later that I had an opportunity to wear it and was further disappointed to discover the cut was very baggy. I knew the material was not the same but with in minutes I was taking the shirt off as the material was too rough and scratchy to be worn directly against the skin. It felt like I was wearing a canvas tent. I did not return it as It will make suitable over shirt in the winter, however this was not its intended use. This was a disappointing purchase as the first shirt in white was perfect.

Basically fine
As per recommendations of other reviewers, I sized up. I’m usually between a small and medium, so I got a medium. The length is very long. I’m a zoo keeper, so I have to tuck it in, but if I didn’t, it would look too long. The body is loose, maybe a tad too much. I have an average torso width and length. The material sticks to you when you sweat, which can be a bit uncomfortable. So if I buy again (I liked it to avoid the dreaded farmers tan), I would get a small instead.

Perfect
Just what I needed for when I walk and it’s sunny. It’s also lightweight and stylish.
