Best for all fondues !
Love the design and versatility. You can easily have a cheese fondue as an appetizer and transition to a Bourguignonne or Chinese fondue for a main course.

Versatile, practical and stylish fondue pot!
the best fondue pot ever! really well built, very sturdy and functional. You can use it for oil, cheese or chocolate and it would be perfect. Only one thing to note. Keep on mind the size of the pot, plenty of room for everyone!

Fondue set
I am reviewing the All-Clad Stainless Pot with Cast Aluminum Insert Fondue Set, 12 piece, grey. Fondue sets are old fashioned, but I think they're fun! This is a very beautiful set with a nice weight to it. I love the colored ends of the forks, and all of mine sit in their slots nicely.I do have to agree that for the price, this set could be more versatile. A fondue burner that doesn't require Sterno, a lid - those would be great. Still, this does work perfectly well as a fondue set as is.

Take A Dip: An All-Clad Stainless Steel Fondue Pot with Cast Aluminum Insert Review
The All-Clad stainless steel fondue pot with a 2.5-quart aluminum insert set, made in China, includes eight forks, a fork holder/lid, a fondue stand, and a fuel holder. The non-stick aluminum insert can be used on gas and electric cooktops. This fondue pot is oval rather than round, which may work well on an oblong table. The lid has a 3” x 4.5” oval hole in the center with slots to hold the forks. The majority of the forks will enter the pot from the narrow side, which may cause some congestion. The hole is large enough to dip food, though. While I enjoy quality kitchen items, this fondue is something I would rarely use. Including a solid lid would have been nice so this fondue set could be used for serving other foods. A lid isn’t required for sauces, soups, chili, and other liquid foods, but it helps to retain the heat. The way this set is designed, it has more possibilities than those vintage fondue pot sets.If you enjoy fondue frequently, this fondue pot set is an excellent option to consider. This set is well-made, attractive, and works well.► PROS:Cook and serve in the same potIncludes a stovetop-safe cast-aluminum non-stick insertCompatible with gas and electric cooktopsLifetime warranty► CONS:It doesn’t work with induction burnersLimited versatility

All-Clad Stainless Steel Fondue Pot with Cast Aluminum Insert 8 Forks
An attractive oval-shaped fondue set that has a 3 1/2 quart stainless steel pot, a separate 2 1/2 quart heavy cast aluminum stick-resistant insert, fork holder top, 8 fondue forks, fondue stand and fuel holder (for sterno can). The stainless steel pot can be used alone with oil, wine or broth (add liquid to the interior oil fill line) or use the non-stick insert for cheese or chocolate fondue and add room temperature water to the stainless steel pot (to the water fill line) and ignite the sterno to heat the contents. The open top does more than simply hold the forks it also helps to keep heat within the pot. In dipping and removing the forks it is expected that it will catch drips but cleanup is easy and a part of the experience. If desired the fork holder may be removed and that may be a good idea if using with broth as a hot pot for meat and vegetables, etc. The stainless steel pot may be used on a gas or electric stove and if using liquid directly in the pot to it should first be heated on a cooktop and then using the sterno to keep the liquid sufficiently hot.The non-stick pan filled with chocolate or cheese fondue should also be heated on a cooktop before moving it to the stainless steel fondue pot which will hold a small amount of water (to fill line) to keep the contents hot but also prevent the sterno from burning the cheese or chocolate. Use and maintenance information is in an included pamphlet. The All-Clad fondue set is handsome and has substance while not being too heavy like the enameled cast iron sets. A quality fondue set.

Elegant Complete Fondue Kit - Great for Entertaining
This is an absolutely gorgeous set perfect for entertaining. It comes with everything you need except for the fuel to keep the fondue warm, oh and any kind of instructions for use! I'm guessing it must usually have something in the box from All-Clad, but mine does not.The beautiful stainless steel All-Clad pot has internal marking for the oil level and water level. A generously sized nonstick insert can be used on the stove or be put in the oven to keep warm. The pot sits atop a sleek/modern looking stand. The "lid" or splashguard has eight hooks for the eight included fondue forks. The splashguard is best used with oil or broth fondues. There's no need to use it for cheese of chocolate fondues except that it has nice notches for the forks. However, if you do leave it in place for cheese or chocolate, if you’re sitting around a normal dining room table it’s a bit hard to see inside the pot to make sure you’re dipping into the cheese/choc. We mostly use our fondue pot for cheese which we serve in the family room on the coffee table. From that perspective, with the "lid" on, you can see into it pretty well to make sure you are dipping your fork into the cheese. This high quality set is great for fondue parties or holiday gatherings. It's a luxury to own, but oh, so fun to use.
