HistoDeck™: Companion Study Cards to Histotechnology: A Self-Instructional Text

This deck has been such a wonderful reference companion to the text. The questions and answers are very helpful. This you will want for future reference, a must have to prepare for the exam. I took along the individual sections in my handbag to work.

I bought these to help study for the HT certification exam. I have since taken the exam and I can say that these cards go into a lot of stuff not on the exam. The slide photographs were not all that helpful as the photographs on the test look nothing like it. One area that is lacking here and in the carson book is tissue identification which several questions required this knowledge. I took the 2 year program so I had some background in tissue identification but could have used more practice. Get these if you have money to throw around but if not I think studying from the carson book- paying particular attention to the principles of staining areas and getting the purple ascp practice question book were a better prep. While taking the test I never had a "hey I saw that info on a flashcard" moment.

In preparation for HT/HTL Exam, I've purchased numerous study tools, but this one far exceeds ALL in quality, portability, and presentation. The image questions for each topic - WONDERFUL!!!The only suggestion for improvement would be for this product to be printed in the USA, as opposed to Malaysia.

I purchased these to help study for my semester exam and they helped tremendously! I look forward to using to study for the ASCP board certifications.
