Wanted a pair of sturdy water shoes for paddleboarding and these fit the bill. I liked that they have a slightly sturdier sole to them to protect feet from rocky or slippery surfaces. They feel snug on the ankle thanks to the velcro strap, but I did find that they are on the larger side. I usually wear a UK size 6, which is what I ordered, and they came up quite big.I tried swimming with them and found they flapped around quite a bit, so ended up removing them midway through my swim. So I wouldn't recommend them for swimming, but great for other water activities.

I write this review based on my decades of experiences as a consumer, user and purchaser of this type of product for my kids, and now grandchildrenLovely warm days equals never ending need to fill the days and ever climbing expenses go hand in hand with such days.We took the kids out to a local paddling pool, foot-ware, suitable for the pool area worked out to £15 a pair for rubbish fit only for a bin after just a few hours use.These shoes have faults, the Velcro tightened would make the shoes many many times better if just two inches longer.As things stand, although useable, their REAL. life of use is reduced many times because of the very short Velcro strap.The remainder of the “shoe” made of some sort of rubbery plastic comes pretty close to comparable shoe sizes from mainstream high street stores.The shoes fit well. The sole appears to be pretty hard wearing.Overall, reasonably good value which gets better with each days use.They WILL fail because of the short Velcro

I read a few of the reviews before purchasing these shoes and I'm glad I did. Many reviewers had recommended sizing down with these shoes and I would completely agree with that. My husband usually wears a size i shoe but I ordered a size 7 and they fit him perfectly.He wanted these shoes to walk the dog on the beach. Unfortunately the dog friendly section of beach is full of pebbles so waking barefoot is not particularly comfortable. The thick and flexible sole on these shoes makes walking over the pebbles much more enjoyable.These are lightweight, with a breathable side section which does not stop sand and water entering the shoes, but means the shoe doesn't become bogged down with water and provides airflow to allow your feet to dry quickly and easily after exiting the water.They're velcro fastening so you can adjust the tightness of the velcro to suit your foot but they don't provide much actual support for the feet, though that's acceptable considering these are designed for recreational wear and not for long term all day wear.I'd have no qualms purchasing these again, in fact I'm getting myself a pair for our next beach trip.

Pretty decent for the price, but I would order a size down, if I had narrow feet perhaps even two sizes next time. Also if you catch them on the side while swimming or climbing on rocks they can tear. I would give three and a half stars.

Originally ordered a size 9,usually my size. They were to large especially in bare feet but a size 8 was perfect. Well constructed non slip sole and comfortable. Excellent for walking on rough beaches.

Excellent, good value and quality. Mine came up large so I would recommend going down a size.
