Wonderful Breadboard
This is a very well made cutting board. It is attractive and very useful if you do lots of cutting up of vegetables and fruits. You can cut a large quantity and the grove catches any liquids.

Fabulous cutting board
Okay, first it is gorgeous with the bamboo grain. Can you call a cutting board sheik? Well for me the answer is absolutely YES YES YES. Well if you haven’t figured it out, I love this board. The styling is beautiful, the detail is perfect, it has a well around the edge on one side and perfectly flat on the other. As a final bonus, it lays flat with no wobble on both sides. Cutting is just a dream. The wood is strong enough for the knife to cut cleanly through whatever you are chopping but soft enough that it doesn’t take the edge off of your favorite knife! Would definitively recommend and buy again. Did I mention the very reasonable price for a first rate cutting board. What a find!

No gimmicks. Just a well-priced, large, beautiful cutting board!
When the bamboo cutting board I’d used for over a decade finally developed a crack, I went looking for a replacement that’s also quite large, as this one is.Initially, I thought I might like a board with incorporated, self-storing plastic cutting mats. But then I realized that the structural integrity of such a cutting board system would have to be diminished significantly, given that in order the store the plastic mats, a large hole is cut through its center. I can’t imagine that would extend the life of the product. Plus, I already have plastic cutting mats which I use atop this board when I’m working with meats or poultry.Next, I considered purchasing a cutting board with an incorporated “food catcher” (which I must admit rather reminded me of a dustpan). Instead, I find it just as easy to place a stainless steel bowl in the sink, and extend the cutting board so that it overhangs the bowl as I prep ingredients. This cutting board is large enough that I don’t miss the few inches of overhang devoted to my make-do workaround.I also considered a thicker cutting board, but the greater expense and weight – particularly given that I’m used to very large cutting board; my last one was even larger than this one — caused me to change my mind. Before using the cutting board, I oiled it with good quality, food grade butcher block oil four times. I plan to continue oiling the board weekly as general maintenance. This has given the board a very nice, almost nonstick surface that’s not slippery. When I made naan bread earlier today, I really didn’t even need any flour as I rolled out the rounds but I’m so used to using some, of course I reflexively dusted the cutting board with a little.Shopping for a cutting board for the first time in over 10 years, I hadn’t realized what a traditionalist I am. I wanted a sturdy, non-gimmicky cutting board, I eventually realized.Maybe it’s having learned to cut and prep food in my grandmothers’ kitchens, where I first (maybe always?) used a solid wood cutting board, But I just couldn’t go for the gimmicky boards with extra pieces and weight.Bottom line: I’m delighted with this cutting board. It’s handsome enough to leave out, a great size, not too heavy, and well priced. What more could any cook want?

Nice cutting board
I haven't had this cutting board for a very long time yet but I really like it! It's sturdy and strong, well made, and easy to clean. It's a good size for my needs (13.5" x 17") whether I'm just chopping veggies for dinner or carving a roast. It dries quickly too.

Very Nice Cutting Board
I originally purchased this board as I wanted to try my hand at making some crusty homemade bread and needed a larger work surface. I haven't made the bread yet but I have put this cutting board to use. I made a roast and found the grooves more than adequate at collecting the juices. Today I made cabbage soup and did some major veggie chopping. With the size of this board, it's great to be able to do the prep without continually stopping to make more room for cutting. The selection of grain and color make this an attractive piece. The jointery and workmanship are nice. I like the thickness and feel of this board. The rounded corners are a bit rough but that's minor. I have two other bamboo cutting boards (smaller, thinner) but I don't remember either of those being so dry at first use. I treated this product with mineral oil before use and it worked fine. Some people like to use linseed oil. Check the internet on that subject. There's plenty of info available.Would I recommend this product? The quality and value are right - yes!.

Beautiful medium duty board - 4 years later
It's been almost 4 years since I purchased this cutting board and it has held up very well. I estimate it gets used a least once a week, sometimes more (summertime during BBQ season). Other than showing a few knife cuts in the surface (superficial) it looks nearly as new as the day we got it. I stand by my earlier review and up it one more star (to 5) stressing that I STILL wish I could find this product in a larger size for larger cuts of meat. I have absolutely nothing to at this point to say bad about it - especially at this price. It's a good product. The IndigoTrue bamboo cutting board is a beautiful board, sturdy enough for medium duty work and nice enough to exhibit in the kitchen. The only way I would improve it would be to: 1) make another board like it but larger in size (for really big cuts of meat like a full brisket or rack of ribs) and 2) make it thicker (perhaps 1"-1½") for the same reason. Otherwise, once treated with mineral oil, it was ready to go to work essentially right out-of-the-box. Very happy with the board so far. But, that's the key; we really need more time and usage to give a final verdict on the product. For that reason I am only giving it 4-stars; later, maybe I'll give it a 5th star. Recommend.

Fits a large turkey
We wanted a new cutting board that could hold a large turkey for Thanksgiving. Our turkey was 14 lb and I'd say it could easily hold an 18-20 lb turkey. We love that it has a well or groove around its perimeter to catch all meat juices. It washed up well with warm soapy water but I would not recommend putting it in a dishwasher.
