Major flaw
You're only given 2 years of free cloud service and then you have to pay a subscription. No way of adding SD card so you're basically stuck. I can see why they price it so low as you'll the have to pay to use it's features otherwise it's just a webcam. Please add this in the description so you don't waste our time.

Middling price, Top features
I bought this so I could monitor our dog who lives in the utility room while I'm at work. I also have several of the tp-link smart sockets so made sense to buy more in the same eco system all using the kasa app.Camera itself gives a great image quality - it says 1080p and i've no reason to doubt that. Live feed connects very quickly when the app is opened. Below the live feed are thumbnails to the most recent recordings made - helpful shortcut. There's also a button to force start a recording (i've never used) or use the camera as an intercom (again I've never used). Below these there's a schedule button - I've got it set to 9-5 so I get notifications only during these hours when I'm out the house.I've included a screenshot of the settings menu and specifically the 'activity zones' page. I've got 3 zones set up over the doors. You essentially draw whatever area you want, so i was able to draw zones so dog doesn't trigger notifications, only opening of the doors. These zones matched with 9-5 timing means I can pinpoint what I want to receive notifications on.I've opened it to see the night vision a few times, it seems to work well but I'm home at nights for the most part so can't say i've used it extensively.I also only use basic subscription - i think holds recordings for 24 hours? Not even sure as don't look back that far. I use live feed and notifications.

Image is average and T&C not acceptable and Fake MAC address
I returned it right away. While being 1080p the overall quality was poor. And the image distorsion quite high. Also. It requires you to create an account with tp-link and the camera will not connect to your app if you Don t agree to their terms and Conditions. Which are provided After the purchase. So I returned it. And I will pass on the MAC address indicated on the camera is different from the REAL MAC address the camera used to ping a server in China. No comments!

SD card slot or not? That's the question!!
I purchased the Kasa Spot KC100 indoor security camera on 08/06/2019, it's a budget camera with lots of features, 1080p video, 2 way audio, compact build, motion detection, audio detection, night vision, cloud storage & live view, loads of great features but no provision for SD card storage. There is only provision to store 3 hours of video locally (on the camera), then you have to rely upon cloud storage. I certainly feel the camera represents excellent VFM at just over £30 here in the UK. What I find ironic is great camera & features, works with Alexa & Google Assistant but let down by the lack of an SD card slot.

Good Camera sadly won't connect to iPhone/ ipad
I really liked this camera, I bought it based on the TP smart plugs that I already have and the KASA app .Installation was a breeze and I found the live view quality both day and night pretty good. Now for the bad . The camera would not sense motion, therefore it did not record any events to the cloud . I could only observe live view provided I was accessing the camera from wifi . Try as I may I could not get the camera to connect to my iPhone using 4G . It was fine on the phone whilst using home wifi wifi but useless on remote access 4G .I spent ages discussing the issue with tech support who were very nice but failed to provide a solution. I reset the camera deleted the app all without success . The camera would not record motion even when I walked directly in front of it so there were no activity alerts .I tried very hard to like this camera, it's well built and the camera picture quality is quite good both day and night , but if it will not record movement and is unable to connect to a remote iPhone it's basically useless .Returned for a refund . I phoned tech support to discuss the issues that I was having only to be slammed with a £10 additional charge on my cell phone
