The book with all the feels.
This is the first book I have read by this author. I have been in a book funk and looking for something I couldn't quite put my finger on. Well I found it with this book. I cried, got angry, cried some more before smiling at the end. This book, from being a preachers son to being in the deep south, to the quarter back. I went from loving Roman, to hating him, crying for him, back to loving him. Jonah is just a sweet angel and too good! He's the best of people. This book just made me feel. I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but you definitely need to give this a read.

Intense but fab read!!
This was my first read by this author but when I saw it advertised and it was two of my favourite things (bully and MM) I just had to order it.I can say I was pretty hooked and demolished this book in a day needing to know just what was going to happen to Jonah and Roman! These pair are opposites.. like complete night and day opposites... one is the strong cocky high school football player and the other is quiet calm paster son.As much as they are nothing alike the intense chemistry between them both is hot hot hot!!!!Its a complete instant attraction but both try to ignore their feelings leaving it all awkward and hard to be around each other until one day they just cant hold back. This storyline actually made my heart hurt that some people actually have to go through and suffer like these guys did.#LoveIsLove

Bully King
Whowee! What an immensely intense and heart wrenching read. Jonah is the Pastors son, he knows it's a sin and he's going to hell. Roman is the star Quarterback with an ego to boot. The push and pull between these two along with the fear of being caught living in a small 'backward' town really has you on the edge. All you want is for love to win! Love is love. This is another fabulous read from Andi Jaxon. I cannot wait to see what comes next!

Ok
Bully romance is one of my favourite tropes, I love redeeming characters. But I just couldn't like Roman. He used sex to humiliate, blackmail and manipulate Jonah. The town's ignorance to what happens behind closed doors just felt a bit over the top as well. It just didn't read realistic to me. Despite all this, I still kept wanting to read where these boys ended up. Secretly, I wanted Jonah to end up with Taylor.

Really good!!!
This was another book that I’ve read recently that has completely taken me by surprise. I was expecting your standard enemies to lovers bully romance abs don’t get me wrong it had all that but it was so much MORE. It dealt with some super serious issues about homophobia & religion etc which I thought were told so well. It’s so crazy to me that there are people that still don’t believe that being gay is ok and this book highlighted we still have a long way to go! I really really enjoyed this book, I loved the characters. Roman had such a good arc and development and redeemed himself for his awful behaviour. And Jonah was just the cutest 🥰 a really good book!

Wow
I really enjoyed this book. Not being com a religious background, I never truly understood how hard it can be for some people who identify as LGBTQ+.The character’s individual stories along with their joint story pulled at my heart strings. Just loved it.

What an amazing story this is. One click NOW!!!
I absolutely loved this story from start to finish. These characters were simply breathtaking and awe-inspiring to live in such a religious town and have people who you love and respect judge you and disrespect you must be so difficult.Andi had the ability to make me feel every emotion of these characters; I felt like I was on a hell of an emotional rollercoaster but I didn't want to get off.I didn't want this story to end cos that meant my journey of loving these characters came to an end. I'm praying Andi makes it possible to see these characters again and I'm just not ready for their stories to be over.

Worth the read!!!!
Wow! This book is amazing it’s hard hitting and has some triggers so if you have triggers please search out an arc reader and ask them. The relationship between Jonah and Roman is unconventional but completely them. Both living in a small town where Football and Jesus reign supreme being gay is seen as a disgusting thing but these two stand by one another and discover they may not be the only ones hiding the same secret. The pastors kid and the son of an ex NFL player you wouldn’t think they’d be a match but they are perfect for one another. You will feel everything with these two and yes you’ll probably want to slap one of them until you read abit further and delve into the minds of these two characters

OH MY WORD!!
Just finished reading this ❤️I was scared of the pages. I had my heart beating out so fast and hard in fear for them. Of people inside papers!!!! I know they can't be hurt or bleed. I know! But I couldn't make sense to my heart. What a phenomenal writing, Oh my word! This is the first book I'm reading from this author. I'm winded, smitten and thoroughly taken right now. I'm in that high when you find a new one you know is going to ruin you in nights and wrap you up to sleep. I'm in a delicious lull right now.

BULLY KING IS A BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN TALE OF INTOLERANCE, SOCIAL INJUSTICE, ACCEPTANCE & LOVE. 5*
╔✦✧ ══════༻•✦•✧✧•✦•༺══════ ✧✦╗༻•✧MY REVIEW - BULLY KING BY ANDI JAXON✧•༺╚✦✧ ══════༻•✦•✧✧•✦•༺══════ ✧✦╝BULLY KING IS A BRILLIANTLY WRITTEN TALE OF INTOLERANCE, PREJUDICE, SOCIAL INJUSTICE, ACCEPTANCE & UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. 5-STARS!GAH! Author Andi Jaxon has completely blown me away with Bully King, a M/M romance.Let me start off my review by saying that this book was NOT what I expected. When I read the prologue I didn’t know what to think. I was kind of scared…. I never read reviews on books I’m going to read because I hate spoilers. I really didn’t know what the book was about.I’ve read author Andi Jaxon’s books before and have loved them. So, I picked up my big girl panties and turned to chapter 1 and began the unbelievably heartwrenching journey that stirred so many emotions in me that I don’t know how to put all my pieces back together again. Here we have Jonah Cohen, the new kid in school. The son of Keith Cohen, the new pastor at the Baptist Church. Poor Jonah is struggling as he comes to terms with his own sexuality. He’s alone and has nobody to support him. He’s brought up to believe that homosexuality was an abomination. He thought he would be better off dead then for his family to know his secret. As soon as Jonah gets to his first day of school, he’s met with a very angry Roman King, who is the highschool’s star quarterback.Everyone idolizes him so he gets away with everything. He’s never held accountable for his actions.Jonah and Roman butt heads over and over again and that’s where their story begins. This is all I’m going to tell you about the storyline because I don’t give spoilers in my reviews. This is a story that makes you think. The author doesn’t hold back. We get the good, the bad and the very ugly. This is an in your face book that doesn’t hold back the punches either… Literally. Then came those pesky tears. Then more tears. Good grief, this book moved me beyond belief. As a mother of a bisexual child, a child I support 100%. I found that the behavior in this story challenged my own tolerance. Tolerance against those who bully, lie and incite hurtful behavior and despicable acts towards those people they find different from themselves. Especially when that intolerance lives under the same roof.As angry as I was inside about how Jonah was treated by his classmates, especially Roman. I was equally angry towards the monsters that influenced them. Those role models you're supposed to look up to, yet fail you at every turn.. I understood that each were fighting their own demons, dangerous demons in their own life in a small Kentucky town.Teaser #1:“Jonah Cohen is a drug, and I’m addicted. He doesn’t care who I am or where I came from. He definitely doesn’t like me, but his body aches for me just the same If only things could be different. Maybe if we didn’t live in a backward, bigoted town, we could give it a shot for real. But that’s not our lot in this life. This is all we can have: stolen kisses and quicks gropes in the dark.”Yes, there is evil in this small town. But there is so much good when you look for it. When push comes to shove, those who you think you know, turn around and surprise you in the best ways.Jonah’s sister Mary was an incredible support to Jonah and Roman. I just adored her so much. I also really like Roman’s best friend Taylor. His story moved me as well.As I got to know Roman and why he is like he is, I understood how difficult his life was. So much intolerance in his life. He needed Jonah in his life to show him the way and vice-versa. They were so good for each other. Each protective of the other. My favorite line in the book comes from Jonah:Teaser #2:“I’m so far from God’s path, I’m not sure I could find it even if I tried. I’m going to Hell. My soul will burn for all eternity, but Roman might just be worth it.”This book was so brilliantly written. The author spins this tale of intolerance, prejudice, social injustice and acceptance and unconditional love. I was so sad, shocked, horrified, discouraged, pissed off, and worried. But there were also happy times, funny times, hopeful times and some swoony times too. My favorite part in this story comes at the very end during graduation. It’s truly an OMG/feel good moment. There’s also goodness tucked away between the pages as well. I felt like I was catapulted into a saga so deep with characters driven by lust, love, lies and secrets. Every character in this book has so much depth and dimension. You literally have to peel back all the layers and just let Jonah & Roman’s story tell itself.I’ll end my review by saying that as much as the story and the subject matter was hard to read. These very things happen in real life, every single day. Although it upset me, the author kept it real and I believed every word she wrote. If you want to read a book that’s not full of fluff and has depth and dimension, please read Bully King. As I said earlier, this story makes you think. You’ll want to talk about it after. At least I do. I swear if I’m lucky enough to meet author Andi Jaxon, I will hug and thank her for writing Bully King, a 2020 5-STAR top notch read for me.

Book hangover!
This book was a great read. I could feel the emotions pouring out of the pages. My mind has trouble wrapping around how hard it must be to live in such a religious small town. This story broke my heart in some ways but I was rooting for the characters to make it! I'm not sure what to read next because I can't stop thinking about it. I hope there is another book for Taylor to follow. Please be aware of sensitive triggers such as abuse and homophobia in this book.
