You'll cry, laugh, and want to yell out- all in the same sitting
I just put down this book. I'm wiping away tears but also just finished laughing. The way he was able to keep his spirits up and create positivity for other people while going through. What he went through is just amazing and unimaginable to me. I really hope that we are able to take his story as a lesson and grow from the wrongs that society has done to him and so many others.

Required Reading
The Sun Does Shine is absolutely vital reading for anyone in the United States today. Full stop. Though I do not always agree with all of his views, Anthony Ray Hinton does a phenomenal and crushing job of sharing the realities of a death row inmate. As many states begin bringing back executions and debating over proper methods, it is essential that all citizens reckon with exactly what they are promoting and endorsing when they either support or remain "on the fence" about the death penalty.

Very real in American south
The writer was never bitter but determined. I am appalled by the justice system in the south of America where racism is still rampant. The relentless effort of great people like Bryan Stephenson needs more recognition. Should be recommended reading to anyone who love a great ending

The Sun Does Shine...
This book was heartfelt and sad. The story is one of forgiveness, racism and justice. Its about the work of Brian Stephenson and his team -- how they fought for 16 years to get him exonerated. Its a story of love and faith and how Anthony Ray remained humble while on death row for almost 30 years. On death row there is no color and it is demonstrated in this story. Anthony Ray is just one of many.

A moving book with a strong argument against the death penalty.
This is one of the most moving and well written books I have ever read. Anthony Ray Hinton is an amazing, inspirational man and my heart breaks for what he went through. I really hope that through reading the pages of this book, the decision is made by the American government to abolish the death penalty. I have watched Mr Hinton on You Tube, he is a brilliant public speaker. A beautiful man with a beautiful soul. I love this book. The book sits on my bookshelf, it’s one book that I can’t bare to part with.

Extraordinary book, extraordinary human!
An amazing story of a truly remarkable man who spent 30 years on death row because of the colour of his skin. A man who kept hope and compassion alive in the depths of hell. This book enabled me to have compassion for the people who did the worst of crimes, people are not their behaviour. It’s an extraordinary book by an extra ordinary human being who had the ability to rise above injustice and show lové at every cornerIts hard not to read this and want to do more to be a better person.Thank God for Bryan Stevenson and his endless fight for justice.
