Glass Breaking Caps

Works as advertised, will take out a windshield easily and a lot quicker than the hammer. I chose this based on the following criteria: First, I wanted something I would be able to carry in my hand while I was on a traffic stop, if I needed to take out the window I wanted it already available and not have to take it out of a pouch or pocket, Second, I wanted to be able to use it with one hand, not like the mechanical punches some officers carry. Third, it had to be reliable and work as advertised, as some of the hammers do not work the first time. Be warned it works too good, especially when your adrenaline is up and you hit the window with more force than needed, then your whole arm has a tendency to go in, If only it were just a little longer so you could use it to rake the glass instead of the grips of your Streamlight, as the rubber doesn't hold up well to that kind of abuse. The Maglite version works really well, but I don't carry a Maglite any more,

I've only had to bust a window out a few times in my life, but every time it was something that needed to happen NOW. If you don't carry a spring loaded center punch, even a blunt hammer can bounce off a window. You need something pointy and HARD - this fits.There's a pointed steel insert in the aluminum tailcap. This product is for the 20X series (old model) flashlight with aluminum body. It got here very fast and first installation gave me my only problem.The flashlight wouldn't light up.Why?Because the body of the flashlight is used as a conductor - the new tailcap was totally painted (anodized?) and needed to be scraped with a steel wire brush to get the paint off of the threads to complete the circuit - then it worked like magic.

Fits my late model 2019 Stinger LED well and it’s made in USA. Threads are perfect and straight. I used the O-ring from the original part. I’m gonna order another for my old non- LED Stinger, which it also fit.

I haven’t needed to break a window, YET, but I’m certain it will make it easier the next time the need arises. Anyway it makes my Stinger look cooler!!🤷🏼‍♂️

This product works great. I had to use it today to break a window to give aid to someone in a motor vehicle crash. The window broke on the first try.

I have the DS stinger LED. A 350 lumen light. Adding this tail cap you will sacrifice the tail cap switch. The cap fits on perfectly a though it looks a little odd. But I got over it. I am a Paramedic and use this flash light often and put it in the back pocket of my 5.11 EMS pants. When I had the DS the light would some times go on by accident. Putting on a solid and functional tail cap solved the problem. The tail cap brakes glass as described very well. I have also used it as a self defense tool in the line of duty.

haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it also seconds as a weapon when needed in my line of work. 😁

So I haven't had to use this in the intended function yet, but I'm confident it will work when needed. Easy install with the help of an o-ring between the glass lens and the bezel. Be sure to stop by the hardware store to pick one up, or your lens will rattle.
