Bruntmor, ALBA Silverware Royal 45 Piece Flatware Cutlery Set, 18/10 Stainless Steel, Service for 8

We have a full set of 20 and have purchased a set of 8 for a bachelor friend. Plain, serviceable silverware that is perfect for everyday use. The "plain" is a benefit in this case, as it makes them wash very cleanly and easily; we machine wash and have had no rust or blemishes. They are perfect for daily use, or even as a house warming gift; they are probably a bit too plain for anything fancy (like a wedding gift). As others commented, the spoon is pretty small, almost to the point of uselessness; we pretty much use them for desserts or children only. If you tried to eat soup with them, you may die from starvation (I only use the soup spoon). A minor issue that might bother some folks; the handles are a bit rounded, so they do not stack/nest very well. We keep them in a silverware organizer, so it doesn't bother us.Only flaw to date is my sister-in-law inadvertently discovered they will scratch if dropped in the disposal; surprisingly, I buffed out the gouges and its still usable, if a bit ugly. And yes, that's humor, not a condemnation of the silverware!! As was the starvation comment.

After about two weeks I am still quite pleased with this ware. I wasn't expecting the quality of my expensive name brand set and I can easily tell the difference. However, for the price e, these are excellent. The weight and balance is good and I have seen no rust even though I am washing them in a dishwasher just as I have always done to the other sets. I do rinse of any acidic foods before loading into the washer but that is the only'special' care they have received. The knives do not cut as well as the more expensive set but are certainly adequate. Just needed a transitional set during an extended move and then will pass them on to a relative just starting housekeeping. I think they are perfect for these situations. Quite attractive as well!

Great presentation when I removed the box out of its container. I am so glad I read the reviews regarding this item and went with my gut feeling to trust what I read and I must say, the reviews did not steer me wrong. I am very pleased with this product. My husband and I love the feel and weight of the flatware and especially the fact they are made of 18/10 steel. This flatware, when compared to what I have (I have very nice ones), is like night and day in terms of how good the Bruntmor feels to hold in the hand. Great to cut/eat with, I love the “one-piece” structure thus I do not have to be concerned about the lower half becoming weak or working itself loose from the upper section, the metal is very smooth to the touch, it has great eye appeal and when placed out to use, the table setting looks fantastic. I have not experience any “corrosion” (I hand wash/dry) but I am not concerned because of the product’s “Lifetime Warranty”.I can also agree with the description wherein it is described, “ . . . both peaceful and beautiful in its simplicity.” Although I have other place settings, these by far are my favorite to which I have placed another order. This silverware has a nice weight and very simple design, which I love. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the small spoons and forks are very small. The smallest I've ever seen in any set. The large size spoons and forks are approximately what could be a medium of the normal size silverware. I still like the and if you like smaller, you'll love these.

Nice set. Good weight, looks classic. I bought these because of the good reviews, and they were spot on.The only (very minor) complaints I have are that they do show fingerprints when you first touch them, and the handles are a bit long. The size is not a big deal (and actually makes it feel like a nice adult set!), but it means they don't fit in my drawer as well as other sets I've had. At first, the teaspoons looked tiny, but they are actually the same size as my old set and just looked small since the other pieces are larger.

Of course when we purchase something new we expect it to look beautiful ! but, will that last and for how long .? I waited six months to do a review for this reason. I made this purchase in part due to its reviews. I am sad to say that it is showing signs of rust and imperfections in the finish on seven pieces from the set so far. For a family of two under normal use with proper care which means drying them thoroughly before putting them away, we were surprised to see this on what appeared to be a very well made flatware. Let there be no mistake the set is beautiful but, after spending seventy dollars we are a little discouraged at what appears to be less that advertised workmanship.

Quality is nice but size is misleading. Knife, dinner fork, and tablespoon are usable size but teaspoon and salad fork are very small, almost uncomfortable to use (I'm average size, 5'5", 125#). Bought these as a gift for my son who's 6'3". Would like it better if all five pieces were more user friendly.

We like flatware that has a well-balanced weight. This set has just that. Over the years we had somehow ended up with a mish-mash of pieces and a severe shortage of forks. First I ordered 8 forks to see if I’d like them. I did. A lot. So then I purchased the complete 8-place setting. Now we have a great matching set and 8 extra forks! At the rate they evidently disappear, this will come in handy.

Good quality

Arrived very quickly, well packaged, new and exactly as advertised. Happy with the purchase overall. The only minor issue I have is that the little spoons are very little and the big spoons aren't all that big. The little spoons do work out well for my young kids, and I can live with tha smaller big spoons. Good quality and decent weight/balance. Looks simple and yet nice.

I loved these straight out of the box- they look and feel great! However, after only two passes in the dishwasher, the knives all rusted in the serations. Very disappointed as they state dishwasher safe.
