HISENSE 55A6GTUK (55 Inch) 4K UHD Smart TV, with Dolby Vision HDR, DTS Virtual X, Youtube, Netflix, Freeview Play and Alexa Built-in, Bluetooth and WiFi (2021 NEW), Operating System VIDAA

I had a Samsung 55" 4k LCD TV for 2 years and it developed a screen fault.As it was 2 years old nobody was interested so I purchased this Hisense equivalent for substantially less money. I'm hoping it lasts longer than 2 years.As the Samsung was fixed to the wall with a substantial bracket it was a straight-forward job to remove it, remove the part of the bracket attached to the Samsung and attach it to the Hisense and hang it.I attached an ethernet cable (network), a terrestrial aerial, the power cable and switched it on.The first thing I noticed were richer colours compared to my previous TV. I checked the 'Picture' settings and noted that they were on 'Auto'.The second thing I noticed, having completely missed it previously was a BNC connector.This immediately told me 'Satellite'.I had a satellite box on my A/V setup so I removed the dish cable and attached it to the TV.A quick read through the manual and I had Satellite programs from the built in decoder.This was a bonus that I honestly hadn't expected, TV specs can be a bit confusing at times.The sound from the built in speakers is a bit light on the bass but I use my A/V set-up.I have a Nintendo Wii which I enjoy but which outputs via a component bunch of cables.I couldn't find a component socket set on the TV unlike my previous TV so I purchased a component to HDMI converter which works great.Generally speaking I am happy with my Hisense, particularly so for the price, substantially less than the Samsung and LG offerings I looked at.Gaming looks good and there are some settings dedicated to it.Someone mentioned that the remote buttons were quite sensitive. I have found this to be mainly true but I prefer the sensitivity of this remote to some I have which require firm multiple pressing of the soft buttons.I just hope this TV lasts more than 2 years, I'm sure it will.EDIT: My prophecy above turned out to be accurate.It died this week 2 years and 3 months after I purchased it.I'm now looking for a replacement and I'm running out of suppliers.PS my usage of these TV's is quite heavy as I'm a retired person.Maybe I need a military grade TV.

I am buying my 3rd hisense TV and like all the rest it is an easy choice. Well built, intuitive and excellent remote control handset. The perfect TV “for the working day” easy to use, very easy to get perfect performance from and CHEAP. So far none has lasted less than four years and one is still working after 8 years.An excellent buy if you are not wedded to brands and can use your brain when purchasing consumer tech.

Now, as a reviewer of many items, I like to test products thoroughly and see how they fare over time during real-world use. I've waited for over 6 months to review this 55" Hisense 4K TV so I could thoroughly put it through its paces and give a fair opinion on its overall performance. I have to say, it's been a bit of a bargain that hasn't disappointed me after prolonged use and has been well above my expectations.It provides a clear quality relatively vibrant viewing experience that we have just about set up perfectly for our preferences through the easy-to-navigate onboard settings. The sound is surprisingly good and provides a decent tone and a nice hint of bass, making it great for movies and music, but just as useful for gaming where this TV has performed very well. Being a smart TV, it is packed with features and apps etc that enhance the viewing experience and this is where the TV comes to life as it's a fast, smooth operating system that doesn't have that slow clunky feeling that many smart TVs often have. With prime Video built-in with plenty of 4K movies to view, it's a joy to watch and shows images as intended with bright whites and deep black tones that add real depth. Add a 4K Firestick and it's an even more joyous affair as the TV's remote and settings are geared up to function and run smoothly with the device, making it feel like an inbuilt app and not a standalone bit of kit.Gaming is fun and there is no discernable lag or ghosting with a Series S at 4K though I play at 1080p 120hrz as the difference is night and day in terms of gameplay, particularly when playing FPS games etc. It's great fun.In summary, it's a great TV that I would highly recommend as the last 6 months have been a pleasure with this bargain of a TV.Edit 06/04/2023 Now at 12 months and still going strong!Thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.All the best

This was a good TV with good video 4K and 55” big screen. It wasn’t good on the sound side of things but if you have a soundbar or an external speaker of sort, it’s more than enough.Value was perfect considering other TVs were almost twice as expensive when I first got this.Lasted until 2Y warranty is void. Black screen, I don’t think it turns on all. It’s still the same spot it was 2 years ago, still in perfect condition. It just went black when watching nexflix and never turned back on again.Now I’m stuck with no TV. I wouldn’t buy Hisense again but you can take your gamble.I hope people find this helpful.

I’ve been using this tv for over 2 years now and it still feels brand new, I don’t see myself upgrading any time soon, it’s bright, crystal clear, good Dolby Vision and HDR support. It’s also recently received a pretty packed software update that’s added loads of features and improved the overall experience

Amazing sound. Good picture quality. Al my watch timings are only at night so cannot complain or comment much on reflection etc..Overall good for the price 👌Unfortunately I had to return mine because of a glitch/flickering on screen while watching.Tip: make sure to watch much as you can as soon as you get it delivered. In case of any defect, it can be returned within the said period. Pick uo is fast but Follow ups need to be done for refund
