A quality product
Our pleco is a beautiful gold male and we have been looking for something that wouldn't hurt his scales during nesting. We had a plastic ship in there that was his favorite thing but, like most molded aquatic decorations, the edges of the cutouts are rather sharp. Since the male pleco fans his eggs and fry, to keep water moving, those edges can cause some abrasions as he moves back and forth. This ceramic log has no such problems. It looks nice (we laid it on its side) and he took to it immediately. Unfortunately he decided it better to nest UNDERNEATH it, lol, having dug up so much gravel. But hey - as long as he has a safe place to hatch and raise his fry, who cares that he remodeled our tank. >.<

Really nice quality
I wanted something that wasn’t made of plastic and this was one of the few I could find made of ceramic. I actually wanted it for a perch, for filter feeding shrimp, rather than as a large cave. One has to handle it carefully, as it is ceramic and would break if you dropped it, but it looks amazingly realistic and suits my tank very well. I’m very pleased with it.l

All my fish love it
Very sturdy, no rough edges. My pleco doesn't use it but all my other fish love it.

My loaches' favorite cave!
Absolutely love the quality of this ceramic cave. Surprisingly my clown loaches (as well as zebra loaches and Sinibotia pulchra) adore it - so much that I had to buy more than one because they were fighting over it! I like the natural look and the fact that it isn't fully enclosed so no fish can ever truly be trapped. I smush it down into the sand so that it's a tight squeeze like loaches prefer, but it can always be pushed open with a little bit of force.

Large, makes a great hideout.
Is a little rough around the edges.
