Casino King: A Dark Mafia Romance (Carfano Crime Family Book 1)

Just happened across this when browsing KU books.It reminds me a bit of Catherine Wiltcher. Damaged dark alphas and feisty, slightly damaged leading women.A well written, interesting story with dark mafia themes. Whilst this is now a very common genre, it was done well and ticked all the right boxes.Would definitely recommend 👍

Loved this book from beginning to end lots of twists and turns , absolutely Brilliant well written can't wait to read the next book in the series

So I found this series by reading the last book first -duh!! But oh my it’s so good to read from the beginning. There’s a darkness that shouldn’t be fun but is oh so alluring. Enter the world of the Mafia family that is Carfano and be prepared to be enthralled. No spoilers but it gets hot!!!Loved it

This story starts of slowly but picks up the pace of the leading couple as their romance continues. By the time you are towards the end their story hits new heights.

Experiences of the past leads to the present in surprising ways. King, Obsessed with a dance routine that a slip of a women performs, he just has to watch her on a Friday night since she arrived. Never feeling like this before over any women, possessed is one word, she appears so innocent, vulnerable, untouched by the worlds hatred but at the same time is hiding her hurt, he can read all this by the way she dances., feelings I am going to explore. Highly recommended

What a wonderful book, great storyline and characters, I can’t wait to read more and see what happens next with this series

This book will pull you in and won’t let you go till the very end. I thought Tessa would be timid & flat but she took me by surprise. Alec was just obsessive & crazy all throughout. It was so passionate & hot, loved the storyline and can’t wait for the rest of the families stories to come out. Being a criminal and being exposed to evil would taint anyone so it will be interesting to see how dark will Rebecca go in this series...🤞 I’m certainly rooting for her.

This was a good story I did like reading it, but honestly I did give five stars but I really don't know how they got things done the sex they got through omg I couldn't believe it and the way it was described Jeezo

This story was a brutal look at the Mafia. A girl who is the obsession of a mafia king pen.

Oh my, Alex is the perfect Alpha-hole and I am in love him and Tessa. This hit all the markers for me. Strong dark characters with unbreakable devotion and an intensity that burns through the pages as you read them.

There was nothing I liked about the book.

This book was intense from start to finish! I like how nothing was drawed out over multiple chapters. So much juiciness too the book and in all the right ways!! The way the book was written was amazing and just kept me going ! Can’t wait to read the authors other works !

I appreciate her skill with literary devices such as conversation dialog and internal monologues, dual POV, and descriptive language. This plot is definitely a character driven plot as readers witness the way the lead characters grow. I appereciated the way Ms. Gannom uses suspense to heighten the rising action of her plot. Likewise, I liked how Alec is protective, and caring with Tessa. Therewere several Carfanno secondary characters of interest like Leo, the Don; Luca, the under boss; and Katrina, their sister. I am looking forward to seeing their stories in subsequent installments.
