Great read and super easy to follow. First books that are helping me learn more about the Yoruba religion! Love Mari Silva’s books.

A lot to read and process. I didn’t know there were so many entities and the parallel similarities amongst other spiritual essences across continents. I read this book hoping to get more informed about my west African heritage folk religion and spirituality. I feel it has gotten me a little closer to that.

This book was excellent from beginning to end, especially since I'm interested in becoming apart of the FIFA tradition. I found a lot of similarities between African Spirituality creation story and that of the Christian creation story, and other familiarity. I see where the Bible has derived a lot of their beliefs from Its and attempted to make it their own. That was real like wow to me, seeing that I've been a Christian since 14 years old and I'm now 44. I just felt their was something more for me and that more was African Spirituality which has opened my eyes so much. This book just helped my journey even more.

Definitely know more about it then I was told by mouth! Great stuff and great advice! Will recommend to anyone who is interested in learning more about this topic
