No batteries required! Fun guaranteed!!!
Great fun! My seven and eleven year old call these pop cars because when pumped up enough, a low multiple of what the manufacturer says, they leave the starting line with a satisfying pop. The video shows cars being launched in order beginning with pumped to manufacturer recommendation, then pumped to twice manufacturer recommendation and finally the yellow car, where one would need a Mythbusters high speed camera to see it, is pumped up to three times the manufacturer recommendation. We bought the first of these over a year ago and they have been a blast. We launch into an arrestor, a rolled up rug to protect the cars and the house. These can not be over-pumped to failure as the release valves start leaking and bleeding off pressure just over 30 pumps.

Sonic speeders
This was a gift, and tho' I didn't get to see it used much with all the other Christmas gift openings, I did watch a video demonstration of it on DadDoes.com It's a lot of fun, and will keep your boy(s) busy for a long time. I bought it as something my gr-grandson could play with along with his dad. For the price it's at now, I think it's a steal! The only negative is that if you use the "finish line", you have to keep putting that together after each race. It's just as much fun to use without those parts! I'm thinking of getting another set for my neighbor boy.

Not worth it.
Horrible product. Bought it for my son for Xmas. We never got it to work. Went straight in the trash.

Cheap materials, poor performance
Cars do not track straight, so hitting the finish gates is very difficult (even for an adult). The cars fall apart every time they hit the baseboards. I considered gluing the parts together, but decided returning the toy would be a better option. The finish gate does not function as designed either. It spins around (doesn't stick to floor) and the flag falls off so there is no way of telling who actually won the race (on the rare occasion that both cars actually hit the gates). A very badly designed and cheaply made toy. A poor experience overall.

Not as good
The product did not work as expected. Did not take off. My son had to push the car manually, after getting frustrated. Not recommended.
