Very fun game. Scores like horse shoes, but much safer for children. I have built a couple of these games myself and it doesn't really save you any money. I love the fact that these have latches that lock it into one piece for storage. They are also much lighter than my homemade versions and still feel very strong. The fit and finish is great. I purchased this set as a gift for my neighbor. I had to smile last weekend when they had their kids and grandkids out and everyone was having a great time playing the game. It can be enjoyed by ages 5-105! It doesn't take much space to play, making it great for campgrounds. We broke this game out at a KOA once and before you knew it people from other campsights were coming over to play. If you like lawn games and want something that packs easily for travel, this is the game for you! I recommend two sets and set up a team style tournament. By doing this, 8 people at a time can play and there are usually half a dozen spectators. Easy way to entertain 12-15 people at once.

This idea of HILLBILLY HORSHOES intrigued me . So,I bought this. It is OK. Basically a suitcase that separates . Each half is put down about 20 ft apart on the lawn. However,the latches used to hold the 2 parts together were ill-conceived, in that,they were not sturdy enough. So,I installed a pair of hinges which are designed to separate at full-open. It was simple and inexpensive. The game itself is fun and challenging .Comes with metal quoits in 2 colors. I ordered additional ones that are a bit larger, so they would challenge the adults . A fun ,inexpensive and very portable game set.

Ok so we bought this same set 10 yrs ago and I have been looking to buy a new one ever since. So glad I found this again! First off the washers will bounce off pavement and fly away in bushes etc. never to be found again. I am sure grass would be best. However, we bought MINI cornhole bags (on Etsy) that fit perfect and work on our large concrete back porch. Hours of fun! Use non slip rubber cabinet liners to keep boxes from moving. Works like a charm on a smooth concrete surface. Packs up nicely to store away instead of having large cornhole platforms sitting out all of the time. LOVE!

I would not have given this 1 star except you have to! Total piece of poo, the first one delivered was missing the washers, both latches were broken( one clean off!) I found all the loose screws floating around in the box. I contact Amazon, and the agent was extremely helpful in getting me a replacement shipped ASAP after I explained it was a gift for my son's birthday. It didn't come in time for his party, but I was able to tell him I purchased it and that I would be able to give it to him the next day. He was so excited to have it for our camping trip and couldn't wait for me to bring it home. When the replacement arrived the latched were again broken, but repairable. At this point I can't let my son down again, so I'll just fix it myself. Poorly constructed, horrible workmanship and quality of hardware. I strongly suggest you DO NOT WASTE YPUR MONEY!! Amazon should discontinue the sales of these things ASAP.

We are not impressed with this game. The lock latches broke the first day we used it- husband had to re-install the latch as it's a much needed feature.We were prepared for the box to get beat up during play- after all, it's metal "washers" hitting the wooden edges. We're actually wondering why the game's designers didn't think to put a rubber edge aroung it.I really think the game was designed and assembled with the cheapest materials possible so as to increase the profit margin as much as possible. It is after all, only two wooden boxes with a plastic PVC pipe glued in the middle and 6 metal, painted washers thrown in.And BTW, we went to Home Depot, picked up enough washers (less than $1.00 each) for several more people to play. We spray painted them different team colors and now six of us can play together.After all is said and done, we expected everything but the broken lock latches.And in full disclosure, we did not contact the seller as it's not worth trying to return.

Very well made and is aesthetically pleasing.....Would recommend using a thin rubber coating on washers. Other than that, well worth what I paid for the product

My product came broken. I gave as a gift and they didn’t want to tell me that the cylinders were not attached. I found out last night when I went to visit my grandson. Now I have missed the return window. Any suggestions on how to fix this for them?? Glue did not work last night. Very disappointed in this item. 😩

Awesome product and super fun gameOnly issue is that the washers are metal and the box is wood so it chips and dents extremely easily

EDIT: after three weeks, one of the latches has broken... which have been some of the complaints in the review.I've had this product for over 2 weeks now and it is still intact. I saw mixed reviews and I was worried that it might fail after a few games. The game looks exactly how it does in the pictures, it looks good. However, since the wood is stained and/or painted, it makes the chips in the wood more noticeable but what else do you expect when throwing metal washers at a wooden box? Other than that, this washers set is pretty durable and fun.

This seems like a good sturdy set. The one issue is the center is just glued to the base and the one I reviewed the glue did not hold so I will have to repair it before I can actually use it. Should be an easy fix though.

Don't buy, after two games it is full of chips. Not wood, cheap press wood. Even the lock don't close and keep close from day 1. UPDATE AFTER 1 WEEK. The game look like it has 10 years of use. Middle pipe on 1 already broken and it is all press wood, so all chips and broken

We are really enjoying this game - it’s a challenging game!I like that it is sturdy and locks up with a carry handle - great value for the money.
