I purchased this camera to use while snorkeling. When it arrived, I got it out of the box and so far it does everything that was advertised. I have tried many of the different settings to see what effects they have. I tried it out in my swimming pool. The touch screen menu is fairly intuitive, and takes some getting used The videos are clear and pretty true to color. The photos are crisp and clear. So far I can tell you the battery will last over two hours before needing to be recharged. I do wish XTU would include two batteries.The instruction book is complete except for one piece of information. the remote worn on the wrist is rechargeable but how do you know when it is fully charged. The camera is fully charged when the red light goes out, which the book describes but no info on the remote.The camera comes with several attachments to use on helmets, bicycles, cars, etc. It also comes with a waterproof case, which is rated waterproof to 30 meters according to the book. The description on Amazon say 40 meters. Since I will be snorkeling it doesn't matter. to me That might be an issue if I was scuba diving.There a couple of you tube videos that describe how to set up and use the S3. I have seen a Gopro and for the money it's not that much better to me. I highly recommend the XTU S3. I can't wait to see how it works while snorkeling in the ocean. I will most likely update with videos or photos once I snorkel.Update: I took the camera on a trip to Hawaii. We went on a dolphin and turtle snorkeling trip. The camera was great. After reading my previous review, I need to correct the statement that the camera will run for over two hours on a single battery charge. What I meant to say is that the camera will last at least 30 minutes on a fully charged battery. The pictures and videos of the ocean life was great. I also got some videos of grandchildren on boogie borads or dodging waves. the camera worked quite well and did what it was supposed to do. Definitely worth the money.

The media could not be loaded.  Great video quality, easy to use, sound is quite decent, came with a ton of accessories, I wish battery life was better but I guess it depends how long you’re using it for. I purchased this mainly to film my husband feeding the chipmunks and it did deliver. It’s also quite easy to download videos with the app. I would definitely recommend it, you get a good quality action camera at a fraction of the price of the name brand.

I have now purchased 2 of these, I can say that it is a good action camera, I have had GoPro cameras and to tell you the truth, I think this is a better camera, first you can cut off the sound, I am a kayaking and I kayak with a group, and I really don't want to record conversations of people on the trip, I can not turn of sound on my GoPro 9, I use the remote watch more than voice commands, I just find it easy for me, the video is very good and people like my kayak videos, I just add music to them. Pictures, the pictures always seem so far away when they really are not, a better zoom system would give this a 1/2 star up. The one real done side for me is the mounting, the base plate mounts great, just heat up the tape alitte before mounting, the issue is the mounting clip, it is very poor fitting and loose in the base plate, I have lost 2 cameras to this, I usually have a 250lbs steel fishing leader to the camera to a hard point on my kayak, sometimes I forget, the camera comes of with minor impact on my kayak. I have told others when they ask me about the camera it is a good buy, I feel it is the best bang for the buck and it works. I have alot of issues with GpPro shutting down due heat, I live in Southern US.

I purchased this "waterproof camera' for my 15-YO son who is going on a trip where he will be snorkeling. I was looking for a camera that was waterproof and was under $ 200.It is the opinion of my son and myself that this 'camera' is more designed for video taking than picture taking. My son think that this 'camera' is a GoPro wannabe. The listing shows that it was listed as a camcorder but the description is full of 'camera' which is very misleading.Here are the issues:1) we were unable to charge the battery because we were unable to open up the power\HDMI covering to charge the battery. We spent an hour trying. Several adults and teenagers attempted to open by following the instructions in the manual to no avail.2) it takes several (more than 10) attempts to open the covering for the battery and memory card.3) it is 'small'...the pictures in the listing makes it look bigger than it is.4) unlike a typical camera where you can tie straps to it, there is no where to tie the water floating straps to it that I purchased.Our recommendation is to buy one of the several waterproof cameras that are listed on Amazon between $ 75 to $ 100.My son thinks that this 'camera' is a piece of crap and deserves no stars. Of course, he is upset since he couldn't take any pictures or video with it and has no photos or videos from this trip.

This camera is a good alternative to a GoPro. It came with a handful of attachments. I was able to mount it to our Moutain bikes and it handled the downhill pretty well. Once I record a 4K video I’ll update my post, so you can see the video quality and the anti shake feature.It’s difficult to tell when it’s recording when you’re filming outside activities. So maybe the manufacturer can fix that on their next model? Having a small light flash when it’s recording…Overall I’m pleased with this camera and the functionality. It’s great that I can download the app and transfer pictures/videos straight to my phone so I can share with family & friends.

The camera has some good points and some bad. Would I buy again, probably not. We have used it a handful of times and only charged it 2-3 times. The USB cover broke the last time we tried to open it. The camera is still usable but the door sticks out and is in the way. It will not be waterproof now either. Wishing I had bought something else.

Look solid in construction and look attractive & easy to control, video quality above-average, picture and video look grainy in low-light condition. Overall for outdoor video and photo well worth the money you pay for. I highly recommend it.

Wish It came with more batteries. Tried to order online, but they are out of stock.

I purchased this camera, good camera until it quit working after 5 months. Emailed the company with a copy of purchase order number. I got back a response of "cannot find purchase in back office" All emails are not answered. Web site claims 1 year warranty. NOT TRUE! THEY DO NOT HONOUR WARRANTY. All emails I sent are ignored. This is a Chinese company pushing a cheep product for your money and they don't have any intentions of satisfying customers nor do they stand behind their product.

Bonne caméra pour le prix, service à la clientèle pourri, après une vingtaine d'utilisation, la petite porte d'accès à la batterie à brisé , beaucoup trop de pression causé par le coussinet d'étanchéité et qui force la petite lèvre qui sert de barrure. J'ai communiqué avec XTU, leur réponse... Désolé que vous ayez eu ce problème de mauvaise qualité, depuis ce temps, aucune autre réponse à mes courriels! Donc la caméra n'est plus utilisable et est neuve. Ce doit être LA raison pour laquelle Amazon ne l'offre plus!
