Doesn't fit BMW E9x keys
The listing is misleading, this doesn't fit E90 E92 key fob , the leads are positioned differently . I bought this because it's advertised specifically for BMW key fob but it needs modifications to work .This battery is 12 and 6 positionOEM battery is 12 and 3 position

If you dont have skills dont buy
The battery is great. The problem is the bmw key was not made to be opened. If you are not good with fixing things then just pay the $200 and get the new key. You will have to remove the two tabs that come on welded on it. You have to do that with the one in the the key too. Also you will have to find away to reattach the battery leads. I used metal hvac tape then glued the key back together and good as new. Regardless if you are not handy, dont try this fix and be careful cutting the key open.

Works in 2005 E60 Key
Purchased this to use in the key for a 2005 E60...unfortunately you have to cut the key apart and then pry the leads off the old battery as they're soldered on. Then you have to find a way to get the leads off this new battery. It will work better if you can get the leads off completely rather than just breaking off the tabs.Battery works great though.

Does not fit correctly
Prongs don’t line up at all, you have to basically break the tabs to get them to align with the board. Not for e46 key fob at all

Be careful when you buy these, my key model, had battery leads that were set at off angels. 10 & 2 positions

Doesn't work
I ordered the item in hopes of resolving the remote access key issue.The battery would not hold a charge. I thought I may have installed it incorrectly but the dealer confirmed I did not.When the tested the item they were able to determine the cell was bad.

Easy if you can solder
Easiest way to use is to remove the tab off your old battery and solder to the top tab of this battery. Soldering directly onto the battery itself is problematic in that the solder doesn't want to stick, and batteries don't like heat. This way was quick and easy.

Disappointed
The batteries I recieved did not match the ones I selected. The cost of returning them is not worth the effort. The company that sent them to me got my money and I have nothing to show for it.
