Tower T978502 Stealth 4000 5 Burner 4+1 Porcelain Gas BBQ, Including Side Burner, Side Table, Precision Thermometer and Cabinets, Black

After going through all the reviews for this series of tower BBQ’s I came to the conclusion that almost all of them were for the Stealth 4000 5 burner (which seems poorly packaged and arrives damaged) and appears to be what most people are buying, probably due to its size to price ratio. After considering all models and prices, we opted for the Stealth Pro 4 as it can cater for 5-10 people which is more than enough for us, and it is a bit better quality than the standard ones with cast iron grill, powder coated parts and includes a waterproof branded cover for extra longevity. That being said, the panels are pretty thin and flimsy until it’s all assembled but it isn’t a Weber so I think the quality is well reflected in the price as a similar sized and spec’d Weber would be around £1000. I can happily report that none of my parts or the box were damaged as well.The box is large and quite heavy but the delivery men kindly took it into my back garden for me on their wheels to save me having to do it as that’s where I’d be assembling it anyway. I then began the unboxing ordeal and wow, there’s a lot of boxes. I followed the instructions to begin with as there are a lot of parts but they were fairly easy to follow and informative. It seems quite complicated at first but as you start to figure things out from the pictures and start to get bits together it isn’t that bad. The screws are all nicely segregated in sealed compartments so you shouldn’t misuse the wrong screws with the wrong parts if you’re following the instructions as it tells you what screw dimensions to use for each part of assembly. I did assemble it myself as I am a practical person, but I’d recommend having someone to assist for certain bits especially lifting the grill and burner top as it’s quite heavy and bulky.Once assembled, I connected up my gas bottle and gave it a test and it seems to ignite easily and gets hot fast. I haven’t cooked on it yet but all in all, I’m happy with it so far for the price I paid for it.

I had to connect 3 of the 4 gas connectors which was pretty tricky - otherwise, having used it once it works really well

Ordered one barbecue and it arrived with one leg, nuts and bolts missing. It was replaced within two days but the replacement had no gas tube nor regulator, no instructions. Started showing signs of rust after two days being left outside.

I bought this on offer at £250, and I think it's a great BBQ for that price.I built it entirely myself in just over an hour without much difficulty. The instructions are good enough, though could be clearer in places. Build quality is reasonable for the price.Cooking performance is great - we had a large family gathering and I simultaneously cooked tuna steaks, sausages and a tray of halloumi and vegetables. Cooks evenly across almost all of the grill area.It's fairly easy to keep clean.

I had to order a replacement as the original one was broken. Definitely has a weak point in the welding on the lid which needs an eye keeping on it. Really fiddly to put together and took a long time and 3 pairs of hands in the end! Once assembled it works ok but there are cool spots and not even heat throughout.If I had paid the full price for this BBQ I would not have been satisfied, but, as I got it at a great price in the Amazon sale then I cannot complain too much.

We unpacked this BBQ yesterday, and noticed two of the legs were both bent the same, so we thought at first that's how they should be, but no on further inspection when erecting the BBQ we realised they were badly damaged, so had to repair them ourselves.When we came to fit the doors, we had two left handed doors, so took the hinges off, re drilled the holes on the other side and refitted. This is really poor quality control.Minor points, underneath storage tray too flimsy, and not allowed to put gas bottle on it.Was advertised with cover in big letters, but in small print, cover was available to buy, very misleading. We got it at a good price, would we buy it again, probably not, but after doing all the repairs we are now waiting for the sun to shine to give it the taste test. And after contacting Tower,there was not much help from their customer support, and have now passed the buck to Amazon, as they are the retailer. We were never going to return it after putting it together too much trouble, but if you were not capable of the repairs, don't know what you would do. As for advertised with a cover in large letters, then it looks like this was down to Amazon too. Going to try and get in touch with Amazon, and as a good will gesture, get them to send me a cover, I won't hold my breath.

The product is great, unfortunately there were some parts missing, I contacted Tower Customer services , who sourced the parts and kept me informed as to when I would get them. I have recieved them and BBQ is great.
