I bought a couple of the less expensive models before buying this one. Thank goodness Amazon has a great return policy if you do it within 30 days. The less expensive ones worked sort of okay but they didn't have the cleaning power this one does. With ultrasonic cleaners you do get what you pay for.The tank is small. If you need to clean a lot of stuff buy a bigger one. It's big enough to handle the daily polishing compound clean up from my small metalsmith studio. Better yet it gets rid of the polishing compound. Some of the less expensive ones didn't.

The results are fabulous but you have to put the machine in the garage or similar place far, far away from where people and animals are as the noise it makes is horrendous. High pitched metal on metal grating noise. Similar to but Many times worse than nails going down a chalk board. Even with th basket completely removed and nothing inside or just water inside there is this terrible noise when it is on. Not sure if mine is a lemon where the pieces weren’t put together properly in the factory?

This untrasonic unit replaces an old and useless klunker that I finally threw away. It cleans my chains and other jewelry quickly and quietly. The blue rubber sealed switch is a HEAT ON/OFF switch. Tank settles at one temperature, 140F. Easy to clean as the tank is seamless. Comes with a wire basket, vinyl tipped tweezers and a tank cover. Turbo Sweep Mode appears to be the standard and only mode available, there doesn't seem to be any way to turn it on or off. This is a really great ultrasonic cleaner. The complete ultrasonic unit is warranted for a period of 2.5 years and the ultrasonic transducer is warranted for 10 years.

Had this machine for a couple of months now and I am very Impressed with this unit. Runs up to 60 minutes, but I never had to run it for that long. I found that 30 minutes is more than sufficient to do a thorough cleaning with just a couple of drops of Dawn liquid detergent. Also passed then foil test which I did when I first received the machine. This machine has a small foot print and the basket is about an estimated 6x4x7 inches. great for dentures, jewelry and other small items.

I had an issue with the original product shipped which didn't seem to clean well and quit working after a week of use GemOro customer service was quick to replace the unit and I have used the replacement in my studio almost every night Works great to remove the residual polishing compounds from my jewelry pieces before stone setting Just the right size for my small production operation

This absolutely is a great commercial grade ultrasonic cleaner. It was recommended to me by my jeweler. My wife's tennis bracelet and vintage rings all look like new! I absolutely would recommend it to friend or family. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for!

The the features in the description of this unit such as "This Ultrasonic features two intense cleaning powers at the flip of a switch" do not come in this model. They are for the 2QT higher priced model. Also the switch in the pictured item here says "Powersweep/Off" The cleaner I received the switch says Heater/Off; does the switch do anything at all other than turn the machine on and off? All these eroded my trust that i was receiving good value for the high price point of this unit and so I have returned it.

I'm very happy with this ultrasonic, I had another GemOro ultrasonic for almost 10 years!!!! It's a great machine & I would recommend it to anyone!!

Pricey machine but it does a great job of cleaning.
