These combs are often called “French twist” combs because they are ideal for dressing the hair in a classic French twist or pleat. This is a favourite and timeless style which is never been out of fashion. It is ideal for weddings or glamorous evening occasions when a more sophisticated look is desired. A “French twist” comb is not simply a comb which has been made in France. It is a comb of a particular size and shape. These combs have a narrow heading and long strong deeply curved prongs which are widely spaced and designed to hold the hair firmly when they are inserted along one side of the “twist”. They are usually ornamented along the top of the heading with Pearl & Stone or some kind of decorative treatment. There are also plain ones which you can decorate yourself. is all that you will see of the comb, giving a very neat and glamorous appearance.
