I'm not a serious cycler: I needed a helmet for light use riding around a quiet, low-traffic neighborhood with my kids, so I was looking for something inexpensive.I went in the store to look for a basic helmet and there was an overwhelming number of choices. Even in the Schwinn brand there were a lot of different models. The Pathway was different because it is completely rounded in the back and top rather than more aerodynamic like other models (thrasher, breeze, intercept). I've included a picture of it next to the Breeze, which is another one I also tried on that is less pointy than most other models. This Pathway model felt more comfortable to both my husband and me than the other models. It feels to me like a heavy baseball hat.There are 13 vents in the Pathway; the number and placement of the vents differs between models. Air flow seems fine to me. The visor snaps on and off and does a good job of keeping sun out of your eyes without interfering with peripheral vision. Adjustment was easy by turning a dial and changing up lengths of the chin straps.I wouldn't expect this helmet to hold up in a major crash. This is not a helmet for a serious biker or someone who expects to fall here and there (I got more robust helmets for my kids) but this suits my needs just fine and is as comfortable as a cheap helmet can be. My husband liked it too and got the same one.Note: we got both a Black one marked as Adult female and a white one marked as Adult. They are exactly the same beyond the color. The black one adjusts nicely for male as well as female.

I haven't used this for cycling yet but because of the lack of experience on a bike in 50 years, I thought I would feel safer if I had a helmet. I hate the pointy ones so I was looking for something different. This one has a removable visor (which I won't remove) and an adjustable chin strap and head fitter in the back. It looks more like a cap baseball batters wear or thos caps worn by jockeys. I can wear it with a sweat headband which I will need in Florida. It's not the prettiest look for me but should help me avoid injury in the event I take a tumble. Once I use it a few times, I may be able to give it five stars.

This is a bike helmet. It fits kids. But one thing I have to point out is the absolutely genius design that allows the size to be adjustable. There's a small knob in the back to adjust the size and of course the chin strap is also adjustable. I will note that the size / shape / location of the buckle makes it a little hard to get the chin strap small enough.
