Hogue70803 Remington 700 Bdl Long Action OverMolded Stock, Standard Barrel, Full Bed Block Ghillie Green

Arrived as scheduled, quality product, looks great, easy install.

Replaced the original stock on a Remington 700 XCR 338 win mag that was shooting 2+ MOA groupings (groupoings were also very inconsistent). Had also installed a Kick-Eez pad to help with recoil management (don't like muzzle brakes) and had the original stock bedded.What an amazing difference ... just dropped the stock in (no bedding) and went to the range to test it. The rifle is now shooting consistent .75 MOA groups at 100 yards off a bipod (no sandbags or lead sled). After dialing in the scope (Vortex Viper HLR 3x16), went after long range targets at 300, 400, 500, & 600 yards. Was able to consistently hit those. I am totally blown away by the difference this stock made.On the stock itself, the fit seems to be almost perfect. The barrel free floated without any adjustment. If I leave the bolts loose, the action doesn't shift around in the stock at all ... tells me the aluminum frame is a really close fit. I'm debating if I even want to mess with bedding it given that lack of movement and the above range results (although I probably will).The finish on the stock is really nice and has a tacky feel -- so it should keep a nice grip in wet weather. The only issue was the color...it's ghillie gray not ghillie green. But its a good looking stock and I actually like the gray better.This is my Elk hunting rifle and I normally shoot either 250 gr HSM VLDs with Berger Bullets or 225 gr Federal Premium Nozzler Partitions and I don't have a muzzle brake. So, the rifle can kick pretty hard and I was really concerned the Hogue recoil pad wouldn't be as good as the Kick-eez. I shouldn't have been ... it actually managed the recoil even better than the Kick-eez.The stock is heavier (maybe 1/2 pound) than the original XCR stock. But, the rifle is still well within usable limits (I haven't weighed it yet). And, the accuracy and recoil improvements more than make up for the small weight gain.I can't recommend this stock highly enough ... especially for your hunting rifle. Hogue has really taken it to the next level with this product.

Bought this for my remington 700 sps with the hinged floor plate. Perfect fit, took maybe 10 minutes to install. Far superior quality compared to the factory synthetic stock. Gun now fires sub moa. Great purchase

Best money I’ve ever spent. Improved the accuracy of my Remington 700 30.06 greatly. A few years ago I had it glass bedded by a gun smith. Which made it more accurate. However after replacing that stock with the Hogue I was very happy with the results. I have so much confidence in this rifle. It’s also very quiet and comfortable. Picture is of my second stock for my 7mm mag. It had the same results as on the 30-06.

Product Quality is GOOD...but,Be aware that if installing on a Remington 700, you will have to either beat your recoil lug to plumb up with the receiver or grind down the side of the aluminum bedding.Stock is far superior to factory in every way, and I would recommend to a friend, but you should be aware that extra steps may be required to install. Not everyone will have the tools or be comfortable making these modifications

great feel replace that plastic hull and increase my groups tremendously theres no need to go out there buy anything else this is a great stock.

It's a nice stock but it is certainly not green. More black than any color.
